Abstract: An oral anti-halitosis preparation adapted to desorb microorganisms and to absorb materials causing halitosis, includes as an active ingredient a synthetic oil, preferably one containing the ester of an alcholol and an aliphatic acid of at least six carbon atoms. Particularly good results were obtained when the synthetic oil is caprylic triglyceride, capric triglyceride, or mixtures thereof.

Abstract: An applicator particularly useful in making dental impressions, includes a barrel for containing a dental impression material, an ejector nozzle fixed to the barrel at one end through which the dental impression material is to be ejected, a plunger movable through the opposite end of the barrel for ejecting the dental impression material through the ejector nozzle, and a retractor adjacent to the tip of the ejector nozzle for retracting the gingival tissue at the time the dental impression material is ejected.

Abstract: A handheld dental tool for crown preparation, comprises a handle, a grinding burr, and a guard attached to the handle. The guard has a tip solid spherical closely spaced from the tip of the grinding burr such as to be receivable between the tooth to be prepared and the free gingival tissue thereat to protect the gingival tissue during the grinding of the tooth.

Abstract: A chair system particularly useful for a dental office or other operatory wherein the head region of a subject is to be treated by a dentist or other operator, comprises a subject's chair for seating the subject in an upright position; an operator's chair for seating the operator in an upright position facing the subject; and a mounting for mounting the operator's chair at a higher elevation than the subject's chair such that the legs of the operator straddle the legs of the subject when both are seated in their respective chairs. The chair system further includes a vertically-extending barrier between the operator's chair and the subject's chair terminating below the head region of the subject when seated in the subject's chair, separating the operator from the subject but permitting free access by the operator over the top of the barrier to the head region of the subject.
