  • Publication number: 20210171360
Abstract: A liquid treatment device includes a container section defining a container for holding liquid to be treated. The container section includes at least part of a body, the body including at least one wall forming at least a bottom of the container. At least one first liquid-permeable window through the wall forming the bottom of the container is provided. The device also includes a liquid treatment section, including a cavity surrounded by a cavity side wall forming at least one second liquid-permeable window for treating liquid passing through it. The cavity side wall is sealingly joined to a liquid-impermeable wall section along the circumference of the cavity side wall and around a liquid path through the cavity and the first liquid-permeable windows at an end of the cavity side wall proximal to the at least one first liquid-permeable windows. The liquid-impermeable wall section is an inseparable part of the body.

  • Patent number: 11008229
Abstract: A filter element comprises a porous body. The porous body is made of bonded matter, including: at least one material for binding lead; and at least a binder having a Melt Flow Rate, MFR, of more than 1 g/10 min. The porous body has a Mean Flow Pore size, MFP, in a range of between 0.1 and 11 ?m.

  • Publication number: 20190119137
Abstract: An apparatus for conditioning an aqueous liquid includes at least one inlet, at least one liquid treatment device for the treatment of liquid by ion exchange including a cation exchange material of which at least a portion is in the hydrogen form, a membrane filtration device and a section arranged to process filtrate produced by the membrane filtration device. This section includes a liquid treatment device for dissolving at least one mineral contributing to carbonate hardness in water into at least some of the liquid passing through the section. At least one of the at least one inlets is connected to an inlet of the membrane filtration device via at least one of the at least one liquid treatment devices for the treatment of liquid by ion exchange.

  • Patent number: 9227367
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a porous fluid treatment element, e.g. a filter element, includes forming a layered structure having at least two layers and subjecting the layered structure to at least a heat treatment. The step of forming a layered structure includes forming a first layer including particulate matter including at least a binder and applying a second layer including particulate matter including at least a binder directly onto the first layer on a first side thereof. The step of forming a layered structure further includes applying at least one of radiation and heat to at least the first side of the first layer prior to applying the second layer.

  • Publication number: 20130092636
Abstract: A filter unit for treating water, having a first plate-shaped filter element and at least one second plate-shaped filter element. The first and second filter elements are mutually spaced from each other and define an intermediate space. Each of the first arid second filter elements extends, with reference to a Cartesian coordinate system, along a first spatial axis to a considerably lesser extent than along the two remaining spatial axes such that the element has a layer thickness (?). Flow can take place through the first and second filter elements along a path that corresponds to the layer thickness.
