Abstract: A scalable variant configuration platform separates, behind a defined interface, mechanisms for determining configurations based upon provided variants. Information regarding specific factors, or “variants” is provided and a configuration request object is generated through which services can be configured. A schema is utilized to generate an object model that can assign object-oriented properties, such as type information, to the various factors that can influence configuration. The schema is also utilized to generate a sample configuration file, which can aid in the generation of the configuration file that can specify how one or more factors can affect the configuration of the services. The generation of the configuration request object is based upon self-tuning algorithms that can adapt based upon the types of factors that will be utilized for the configuration of the services being provided.

Information about a document on a remote network data site is received from a user. A document identifier is created based on the user-input information. The document identifier identifies the particular document. A markup language description is retrieved. The markup language description defines properties of elements of a document in a markup language. The document and the content of the document are analyzed utilizing the document identifier and the markup language description. A description of the document is generated based on the analysis. The document description is stored. A system, method and computer program product are also provided for identifying a document. A document is received. Document descriptions of several documents are also received. The document descriptions are compared with the document.

Abstract: A system, method and article of manufacture are provided for selection and formatting of web content for remote viewing. User-defined information is received and used to retrieve content from one or more web sites. The retrieved content is aggregated at a network server located remotely from the user. The aggregated content is formatted at the network server for display on a wireless device. The formatted content is transmitted to a wireless device for display on the wireless device.

Abstract: A system, method and computer program product are provided for transferring information from a network to a thin client device. Initially, an address is assigned to content in a hypertext markup language (HTML) format based on a position of the content on a page. Thereafter, the content is sent to a thin client device using the address. Moreover, the content is displayed on the thin client device.
