Publication number: 20240086214Abstract: A method for electronic device virtualization and management includes transmitting a signal to a server from a client. The signal is initiated by a user of a user interface of the client. The user interface of the client presents at least two devices to the user, which the user may interact with. The signal may include a power cycling instruction directed to at least one of the devices. When the server receives a communication back from the at least one device, it may send the information to the client, where the user interface may be updated in response to the communication. The devices may be controlled with other instructions, such as scheduling instructions, firmware update instructions, and configuration backup instructions. If a power device is virtualized, it may be controlled on a port-by-port basis.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 20, 2023Publication date: March 14, 2024Inventors: Jaber Jaber, Simon Liu, Victor Pak, Ricardo A. Guerrero, Eric S. Park, Mina Farah, Marc Robert Ilgen, Dusan Jankov

Publication number: 20200383933Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for obtaining nanostructures, specifically nanoemulsions and nanocapsules of carotenoids such as curcumin and astaxanthin. This method—using particular concentrations of the ingredients forming the nanostructures—allows high association efficiencies of the active ingredient in the nanostructures containing these ingredients and protection of these nanostructures from environmental factors such as oxidation and light. The invention also relates to the nanoemulsions and nanocapsules of curcumin and astaxanthin for use in the food, pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries, among others.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 5, 2017Publication date: December 10, 2020Inventors: Felipe Andrés OYARZÚN AMPUERO, Javier MORALES VALENZUELA, Matías SILVA SILVA, Mariela INOSTROZA RIQUELME, Andrew QUEST, Marcelo KOGAN BOCIAN, Simón GUERRERO RIVERA, Ignacio MORENO VILLOSLADA, Carlos Alberto ALARCÓN ALARCÓN, Mario FLORES FLORES, César Antonio TORRES GALLEGOS

Patent number: 8688847Abstract: A computer implemented method for performing automatic latency mitigation in a remote access system comprises using a network connection between a client in remote access with a server to define a virtual channel for determining latency in the network connection, and providing a latency value for the connection. The latency value is used to determine a mitigating action for reducing the latency or the effect of latency in the connection, and the mitigating action is executed at the client.Type: GrantFiled: August 30, 2011Date of Patent: April 1, 2014Assignee: Qatar FoundationInventors: Simon Ponsford, Simon Guerrero
