Abstract: An aeronautical propulsion system (200), comprises a propeller (202) mounted to a propeller shaft (204) defining a propeller axis (214); an electric motor (208) comprising a motor output shaft defining a motor axis (216); wherein the motor output shaft and propeller shaft are connected by a linkage such that, in use, driving the motor output shaft for rotation drives rotation of the propeller via the propeller shaft and linkage; and a motor power unit configured to receive power from a power source and provide a motor drive signal to the motor; wherein the motor power unit is spaced along the motor axis from the motor.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes an electrical power system that comprises an electrical load having a multi-turn winding that has a first portion having a first plurality of turns and a second portion having a second plurality of turns. The system also comprises a first converter for supplying a first AC current to the first portion and the second portion of the multi-turn winding and a second converter for supplying a second AC current to the second portion of the multi-turn winding.
