Patent number: 9866997Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for communicating virtual messages through a location-based message stream for different mobile device users. A geo-fenced area surrounding a desired geographic location for a virtual message stream is generated based on parameters received from a first user. The parameters include at least one message to be sent to one or more recipients via the message stream. When a mobile device of a second user located within the generated geo-fenced area is detected and the second user is determined to be one of the message recipients, the message from the message stream is transmitted to the detected mobile device of the second user.Type: GrantFiled: December 6, 2013Date of Patent: January 9, 2018Assignee: Mapquest, Inc.Inventors: Joseph D. Publication number: 20050053574Abstract: A device (1) for dispensing a volatile substance and simultaneously or sequentially dispensing a soluble substance comprising a structure (2, 3, 4) floatable on a liquid (L). The structure includes a first chamber (5) adapted to receive a filling of a first ingredient (A) adapted to release and diffuse a volatile substance, such as a fragrance, as a result of being contacted with the liquid on which the structure is floated. The structure (1) further includes a second chamber (6) adapted to receive a second ingredient, such as a spa product to be dissolved into the liquid. Floating the device (1) on a liquid such as bath water causes the liquid to contact the first (A) and second (B) ingredients, whereby the volatile substance is released from the first ingredient (A) preferably in the form of a vapour or steam, while the second ingredient (B) is dissolved into the liquid. A preferred application is as a bathing implement or a product for toilet hygiene.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 19, 2004Publication date: March 10, 2005Applicant: The Procter & Gamble CompanyInventor: Simon Hill

Patent number: 6244287Abstract: A system and method ensures that the wet lines of a bottom loading petroleum cargo tank remain free of hazardous liquid during transit. The system and method continuously monitor and automatically purge liquid that collects in the wet lines during transit, for example from a leaking emergency valve. The system includes a liquid sensor positioned at a low point in the wet line, a low pressure purge controller in electrical communication with the liquid sensor and a solenoid valve in electrical communication with the purge controller. The system further includes a one-way flow valve in flow communication with the solenoid valve and the wet line. The solenoid valve is also in flow communication with an external source of compressed gas, such as the air system of the cargo tank or an auxiliary air supply. Preferably, the system further includes a remote warning indicator for indicating to the operator of the cargo tank that a particular wet line is leaking excessively.Type: GrantFiled: August 3, 1999Date of Patent: June 12, 2001Assignee: Syltone Industries, LLCInventors: Simon Hill, Christopher J.
