Patent number: 11926361Abstract: An adjusting drive for a motor-adjustable steering column may include an outer threaded spindle that has an external thread that engages with a spindle nut and that has an internal thread that is engaged by an inner threaded spindle. The spindle nut, the outer threaded spindle, and the inner threaded spindle can be driven in rotation relative to one another about an axis by a motor-type drive unit. The adjusting drive may also include a blocking device that is switchable between a first position and a second position. In the first position the outer threaded spindle is locked together with the spindle nut for conjoint rotation. In the second position the outer threaded spindle is locked together with the inner threaded spindle for conjoint rotation.Type: GrantFiled: June 29, 2021Date of Patent: March 12, 2024Assignees: thyssenkrupp Presta AG, thyssenkrupp AGInventors: Simon Blaettler, Sebastian Huber, Jean-Pierre Specht, Tim Bayer

Publication number: 20240026994Abstract: A retaining component for securing at least one cable, includes a main body with a base and a foot element formed on the base. Two webs extend from the base. Both webs extend essentially parallel to one another in the longitudinal direction and form a receiving area for receiving at least one cable. At least one of the webs includes a latching element disposed on an outer side configured to be brought into friction-locking and/or positive-locking engagement with a cover element. The cover element features two holes configured to be brought into engagement with the latching element of a web of the retaining component in a closed position. The cover element is connected to the retaining component to produce a friction-locking and/or positive-locking connection between the webs and the cover element.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 4, 2023Publication date: January 25, 2024Applicant: LISA DRÄXLMAIER GMBHInventors: Simon HUBER, Martin BIBERGER, Rainer PEUKE, Andreas NEUMAYER

Publication number: 20220278538Abstract: The invention relates to a charging system (1) comprising a mobile electrical device (2) and a charging apparatus (3) for charging a battery pack (7) of the mobile device (2) and/or for transmitting data between the charging apparatus (3) and the mobile device (2). The charging apparatus (3) has an insertion opening (9) for inserting an insertion portion (10) of the mobile device (2) into a charging tray (11) of the charging apparatus (3) in order to establish an electrical connection between the charging apparatus (3) and the mobile device (2). According to the invention, the charging tray (11) tapers from the insertion opening (9) in order to orient the insertion portion (10) of the mobile device (2) in the charging tray (11) during insertion.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 5, 2020Publication date: September 1, 2022Inventors: Christian Kainzmaier, Markus Schichl, Toni Scheuerlein, Folke Michelmann, Benedikt Sanftl, Niklas Voelker, Timo Bunk, Simon Huber

Patent number: 11220901Abstract: A downhole assembly includes a first tubular including a first shoulder and a second tubular including a second shoulder. The assembly further includes a transmission element having a first portion disposed in the first shoulder, the first portion includes an electrically conductive member having a first arc length and a second portion disposed in the second shoulder. The second portion includes a contacting element having a second arc length that is substantially less than the first arc length and further includes an outer insulating carrier that defines a groove. The contacting element is disposed in the groove. When the first tubular is joined to the second tubular, the contacting element contacts the electrically conductive member and the second portion defines at least one region between the electrically conductive member and the second portion in areas of the groove where the contacting element does not contact the electrically conductive member.Type: GrantFiled: December 13, 2019Date of Patent: January 11, 2022Assignee: BAKER HUGHES, A GE COMPANY, LLCInventors: Bastian Sauthoff, Cord Simon Huber

Patent number: 11035205Abstract: An modular apparatus for generating electrical power in a borehole penetrating the earth includes a body comprising first and second mechanical connectors at opposing ends and first and second electrical connectors at the opposing ends, the mechanical connectors and the electrical connectors being configured to connect with the same type of corresponding connectors on another modular apparatus when the modular apparatus and the another modular apparatus are stacked together. The modular apparatus further includes: an electrical generator having a rotor and stator in mechanical communication with the first and second mechanical connectors and in electrical communication with the first and second electrical connectors; and a turbine wheel coupled to or integrated with the rotor and comprising one or more turbine blades that are configured to interact with fluid flowing through the borehole causing the turbine wheel to rotate and the rotor to rotate in order to generate the electrical power.Type: GrantFiled: February 4, 2019Date of Patent: June 15, 2021Assignee: BAKER HUGHES, A GE COMPANY, LLCInventors: Matthias Gatzen, Sebastian Tegeler, Steffen Toscher, Cord Simon Huber, Arne Deiters

Patent number: 10246995Abstract: An apparatus for use in a wellbore is disclosed that in one non-limiting embodiment includes a flow restriction device that that contains a channeling element having a fluid flow passage, a restriction element spaced from the channeling element defining a gap between the restriction element and the channeling element, wherein relative movement between the restriction element and the channeling element obstructs flow of a fluid flowing through the flow passage to increase pressure in the fluid across the device. In one embodiment an activation device displaces one of the channeling element and the restriction element to adjusts or alter gap in response to certain changes in the pressure across the restriction device.Type: GrantFiled: December 22, 2016Date of Patent: April 2, 2019Assignee: BAKER HUGHES, A GE COMPANY, LLCInventors: Cord Simon Huber, Volker Peters, Heiko Eggers
