  • Publication number: 20190173395
Abstract: Control unit for controlling an inverter with a plurality of half bridges each having a first switching element connected to a potential of a DC link and a second switching element connected to another potential of the DC link. The control unit provides first signals to the first switching elements such that they are turned off upon receiving a request signal, and second signals to the second switching elements such that they are turned on upon receiving the request signal and to perform a comparison of a measured electric parameter of the inverter with a predefined threshold value. The control unit provides a second signal such that the second switching element controlled by the second signal is turned off for a predefined time span, if a switching criterion comprising a condition that the comparison results in that the measured electric parameter reaches or crosses the threshold value is fulfilled.

  • Publication number: 20180020294
Abstract: A method checks the functioning and/or seating of a hearing aid. A plurality of sounds is acoustically rendered into a hearing aid seated in an auditory canal according to a user-specific audiogram. A user-specific reaction with respect to the auditory perception of each acoustically rendered sound is detected, and the functioning and/or the seating of the hearing aid in the auditory canal are inferred on the basis of the user-specific reaction.

  • Publication number: 20170013373
Abstract: In a method for signal processing in a hearing device, an acoustic noise signal is received by a microphone of the hearing device and processed by a signal processing unit of the hearing device for output to a hearing device user. An electromagnetic information signal is received by a receiving unit of the hearing device. From this information signal, a piece of information about an acoustic interference signal which is contained in the acoustic noise signal is derived. This piece of information is taken into account during the processing of the acoustic noise signal for reducing the acoustic interference signal.

  • Publication number: 20170013370
Abstract: A method operates a hearing device system that contains a hearing device and a database system, which is separate from the hearing device and is set up for communication with the hearing device. The method includes ascertaining a piece of location information for a current position of the hearing device and the location information is transmitted to the database. The database then ascertains whether an electronic device that is separate from the hearing device is situated at a prescribed physical distance from the hearing device. The presence of the separate electronic device within the prescribed physical distance is taken as a basis by the database system for creating for the hearing device a parameter set that contains a number of parameters pertaining to the signal processing of audible signals in the hearing device. This parameter set is used by the hearing device for the purpose of signal processing.

  • Publication number: 20160249140
Abstract: A binaural hearing device has first and second hearing aids and a control device. Each hearing aid has a communication unit, an audio receiver and an earphone. The communication units are configured for reciprocal data transmission by inductive coupling. The audio receivers receive and process stereophonic audio data. The control device switches one of the hearing aids to an inactive audio reception state and the other to an active audio reception state, swaps the audio reception states of the hearing aids within an operating period based on a signal strength of the audio signal of one hearing aid at a time, and drives the hearing aid with the active audio reception state to transmit audio data to the hearing aid with the inactive audio reception state via the communication units.

  • Publication number: 20150312685
Abstract: A dynamic hearing aid system and a method for configuring the hearing aid system. The dynamic hearing aid system includes a first hearing device and a second hearing device, and a controller adapted to communicate with each other. The hearing devices and the controller form a master-slave configuration wherein one of the hearing devices is the master hearing device in the master-slave configuration and the other hearing device is the slave hearing device.

  • Publication number: 20140119408
Abstract: A method performs synchronous access between a first communication device and a second communication device. The first communication device adopts N frequency hopping channels and performs frequency hopping in a predetermined frequency hopping sequence and at a predetermined frequency hopping time interval. The first communication device sends a broadcast beacon over the N frequency hopping channels with a cycle of M times the predetermined frequency hopping time interval. The broadcast beacon carries general information including synchronization information. M and N are both natural numbers. The second communication device receives the broadcast beacon over any one frequency hopping channel of the N frequency hopping channels to acquire the synchronization information. The second communication device exchanges information with the first communication device for access.

  • Publication number: 20130329925
Abstract: A hearing instrument system with a rechargeable battery or accumulator is optimized for everyday use, in particular for EOL detection, and the performance and service life of the accumulator. A hearing instrument, an accumulator system, and a charging system each have an energy transfer interface and a communication interface. The energy transfer interface and communication interface on the accumulator side can establish an energy transfer link and/or communication link on the charge and hearing instrument side. The accumulator system provides energy to the hearing instrument and transmits state of charge information generated by an accumulator control facility to the hearing instrument by way of the respective communication link. The transmission of the state of charge information enables a reliable state of charge detection in the case of batteries, whose state of charge cannot be identified on their voltage, for instance Li-ion systems with closed-loop controlled voltage.
