  • Patent number: 10709865
Abstract: The gases temperature supplied to a patient when the patient is undergoing treatment such as oxygen therapy or positive pressure treatment for conditions such as Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) or Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is often measured for safety and to enable controlling of the humidity delivered to the patient. The invention disclosed is related to measurement of properties, particularly temperature (thermister 23), of gases flowing through a heated tube (3), supplying gases to a patient, which utilises the heating wire (21, 28) within the tube.

  • Publication number: 20200184415
Abstract: Among other things, product data is repeatedly communicated from an application on a device associated with a retail location to a server of a platform controlled independently of the application on the device. The product data identifies (a) current numbers of units of products available for retail customers at the retail location and (b) purchasing behavior of retail customers of the retail location with respect to combinations of the products. The retail location is repeatedly restocked with additional units of products to maintain the products in an in-stock state, the additional units have been received in deliveries made from one or more upstream product distribution entities based on predictions facilitated by the server of future demand for the products by retail customers of the retail location.

  • Patent number: 10677054
Abstract: A cutting bit assembly for a mining machine includes a holder having a first surface, a second surface, and a bore extending therebetween, and a bit having a first end and a second end. The bit further includes a tip, a shank, and a shoulder positioned between the tip and the shank. The shank is positioned in the bore of the holder and defines a shank axis. The shoulder engages the first surface of the holder. The shank includes a projection adjacent the second end. The cutting bit assembly also includes a retainer having a groove and a resilient member. The groove engages a portion of the projection. The resilient portion engages the second surface of the holder and biases the retainer along the shank axis and away from the holder.

  • Publication number: 20200171189
Abstract: The present invention provides a breathing assistance apparatus that has a convenient and effective method of cleaning internal conduits inside the apparatus. The breathing assistance apparatus is preferably a gases supply and humidification device. The cleaning method is a method of disinfection that is automated so minimal training is required to disinfect in particular an internal elbow conduit within the device. It is therefore not necessary to dismantle the gases supply and humidification device, therefore, inadvertent damage to the internal parts of the device is avoided. The present invention also provides a method of disinfecting a heated breathing conduit and a patient interface.

  • Patent number: 10582878
Abstract: Systems and methods of are disclosed for providing visual feedback to a subject during magnetic resonance imaging, where the visual feedback is associated with input provided by the subject to a magnetic resonance compatible touch panel. A video camera is employed to record video images of the interaction between the subject and the touch panel, and the video images are processed to generate a real-time video signal including a rendering of the input provided to the touch panel and the interaction between the subject's hands and the touch panel. The real-time video signal is provided to the subject as visual feedback, and is displayed within a time duration that is sufficiently fast to avoid the detection of the visual feedback as an error signal with the subject's brain in relation to the sense of proprioception. A measurement of the force applied to the touch panel by the subject may be recorded and employed when rendering the real-time video.

  • Patent number: 10529193
Abstract: A dispenser shutter assembly for an automated teller machine and an associated method of preventing damage to a shutter operating mechanism of the dispenser shutter assembly. The dispenser shutter assembly includes: a shutter plate; and a shutter operating mechanism that includes a motor assembly including a drive shaft mounting a worm gear and attached to a frame member by a pivotable mounting. The worm gear is moveable out of engagement with the worm segment by pivoting the motor assembly away from the frame member about the pivotable mounting. When the shutter plate is subject to an external force for moving the shutter plate to open a shutter from a closed position, the external force thereby applied to the worm gear by the worm segment moves the worm gear about the pivotable mounting out of engagement with the worm segment thereby preventing damage to the shutter operating mechanism.

  • Publication number: 20200004442
Abstract: User access to a data storage system including one or more nodes providing a plurality of data storage resources is controlled, the plurality of data storage resources storing one or more user-accessible primary data structures and one or more user-accessible secondary data structures, each secondary data structures being stored on the basis of a respective associated primary data structure, wherein the data storage system stores, for each secondary data structure, data structure metadata which is indicative of a parent data storage resource and an owner data storage resource of the respective secondary data structure. Upon receiving a user request to access a certain secondary data structure of the one or more secondary data structures stored on a respective parent data storage resource, based on data structure metadata stored for the certain secondary data structure, the respective owner data storage resource of the certain secondary data structure is determined.
