Abstract: A material handling vehicle of the kind specified in which the load carrying means comprises a telescopic boom pivotally mounted to the structure at a rear end region of the boom for up and down swinging movement by said power means in a plane extending forwardly and rearwardly of the vehicle and the boom having a load carrying implement at a forward end region thereof, the front ground engageable wheels being driven by said motor and the rear ground engageable wheels being steerable and the seat, having a region, disposed generally underneath the seat in which the motor is disposed.

Abstract: A load carrying machine has a front and a rear part, the front part having a front frame, an engine mounted in or on the front frame, a front axle carrying ground engaging wheels, a transmission for transmitting drive from the engine to the ground engaging wheels, an operator's work station from where the machine is in use, controlled, and the rear part having a rear frame and a ground engaging wheels, and a container for containing matter to be transported, the front and rear parts of the being connected by a which permits of relative movement between the front and rear parts about a first generally upright axis, and about a horizontal which, when the front and rear parts are generally aligned about the upright axis, extends generally longitudinally of the machine and wherein the front axle is suspended from the front frame.

Abstract: An articulated vehicle including a front and a rear part, and a coupling member which connects the front part to the rear part, and is adapted to permit articulation of the front part with respect to the rear part about a generally vertical axis whilst also permitting movement of the rear part with respect to the front part about a generally horizontal axis, characterised in that the coupling member includes a body made as a unitary casting.
