  • Publication number: 20240123528
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for shaping a periodic structure, in particular a toothing on a workpiece, wherein a lifting mechanism lifts the shaping tool, within the working stroke, off of the workpiece for the return stroke after a machining operation, characterized by a rotational angular region of the lifting cam functionally assigned to a circumferential cam profile region of a lifting cam, the same driven to rotate by a motor, of the lifting mechanism, which circumferential cam profile region determines the engagement distance between the shaping tool and the workpiece in a working stroke portion of a stroke cycle, wherein the rotational angular region of the lifting cam is passed through a further time—albeit in the opposite direction of rotation—during the same stroke cycle.

  • Publication number: 20180300653
Abstract: A distributed machine learning system and method are disclosed. According to some implementations of this disclosure, the method includes identifying one or more available computing resources and receiving a task object that indicates a training job to perform. The method includes retrieving a container image based on the type of model architecture. The container image includes the model architecture and a filesystem. The method includes retrieving and mounting a base model to the filesystem of the container image. The method further includes retrieving and mounting a volume of training data to the filesystem of the container image to obtain a training container. In some implementations, the method further includes executing the training container on at least one of the one or more available computing resources and receiving a trained model from the container after the container completes the training job. The method further includes storing the trained model.

  • Publication number: 20170123057
Abstract: A sensor (10) for a roller track (16) is provided having a transmitter (24); a receiver (26); and a sensor element (12) which is integrated into a roller (14) of the roller track (16), which is arranged between the rollers (14) of the roller track (16) or which is arranged at the roller track (16); and having an evaluation unit (28) for recognizing objects located on the roller track (16) using a sensor signal of the sensor element (12). In this respect, the sensor element (12) has an antenna element (20); the sensor signal is a high frequency signal fed into the antenna element (20) by the transmitter (24), irradiated and subsequently again received in the receiver (26) via the antenna element (20); and the evaluation unit (28) is configured to recognize the presence of objects with reference to influences of the high frequency signal.

  • Publication number: 20090007489
Abstract: The invention relates to a vehicle door comprising a braking function before a detected obstacle (3) and for damping the final position, which decelerates the movement of the vehicle door (2) by applying a braking torque, wherein an evaluation and control unit (7) determines the braking torque by evaluating an instantaneous door movement, which is sensed by a sensor system (6), or a sensed obstacle and actuates the damper (5) correspondingly.

  • Publication number: 20080307711
Abstract: A vehicle door with a variable latching function which holds the vehicle door in a desired latched position by applying a latching torque using a controllable damper is described. An evaluation and control unit detects the desired latched positions by evaluating an instantaneous door movement sensed by a sensor system and actuates the damper using an actuator element. The evaluation and control unit releases the latched position after a corresponding activation is detected. The variable latching function acts on the vehicle door within a functional region which extends to a predefined opening region between a first opening angle and a maximum opening angle when the vehicle door drops below a predefined speed or comes to a standstill within the functional region.

  • Publication number: 20080143139
Abstract: A vehicle door has an easy exit feature that holds the vehicle door in a desired latched position by applying a latching torque with a controllable damper. An evaluation and control unit detects the desired latched positions by evaluating an instantaneous door movement sensed by a sensor system, and accordingly actuates the damper. The evaluation and control unit releases the latched position after a corresponding activation has been detected. The easy exit feature is embodied as a variable latching function, and applies a maximum holding force to the vehicle door by way of the damper and locks the vehicle door in the desired latched position.
