The control device (100) comprises a first switching means (121) and a second switching means (122) which are switched in a series circuit between an input terminal (101) and an output terminal (102) of the control device (100). A control circuit (110) is coupled to the first switching means (121) and the second switching means (122) and is configured to generate a control signal (ctrl) for controlling the first switching means (121) and/or the second switching means (122) so as to transmit data bits.

Abstract: A data transmission from a control device (100) to a load (50) is carried out via a load line (40). In the method, a switching means (106) is controlled in order to increase a resistance of a line path between an input terminal (101) and an output terminal (102) of the control device (100). A voltage is detected in the control device (100) in order to identify a phase position of a supply voltage. The supply voltage is influenced depending on the identified phase position and the data to be transmitted in order to transmit a data packet.
