  • Publication number: 20150290341
Abstract: The present invention is related to a compound that includes a lysosomal enzyme and a targeting moiety, for example, a compound that includes iduronate-2-sulfatase conjugated to Angiopep-2 through a linker formed by specific click chemistry reactions. In certain embodiments, these compounds, owing to the presence of the targeting moiety, can cross the blood-brain barrier or accumulate in the lysosome more effectively than the enzyme alone. The invention also features pharmaceutical compositions containing such compounds and methods for treating lysosomal storage disorders (e.g., mucopolysaccharidosis Type II) using such compounds.
    Type: Application
    Filed: December 2, 2013
    Publication date: October 15, 2015
    Applicant: Anglachem Inc.
Inventors: Dominique Boivin, Jean-Paul Castaigne, Michel Demeule, Sasmita Tripathy, Jean-Christophe Currie, Simon Lord-Dufour
  • Publication number: 20150037311
Abstract: The present invention is related to a compound that includes a lysosomal enzyme and a targeting moiety, for example, where compound is a fusion protein including iduronate-2-sulfatase and Angiopep-2. In certain embodiments, these compounds, owning to the presence of the targeting moiety can crossing the blood-brain barrier or accumulate in the lysosome more effectively than the enzyme alone. The invention also features methods for treating lysosomal storage disorders (e.g., mucopolysaccharidosis Type II) using such compounds.

  • Publication number: 20140250698
Abstract: The ‘Hook Spoon’ is a spoon with a hook on the back that hooks on the edge of a container and keeps the spoon handle out of the contents of the container while allowing the end of the spoon that has been in the contents to remain inside the container.

  • Patent number: 7595011
Abstract: Disclosed are compositions, which are stabilized against degradation and yellowing during exposure to ultraviolet light by the presence of certain hindered amine additives, a method of stabilizing the compositions by the addition of said additives, to the use of such compositions as media in electroactive devices such as electrochromic and electrophoteric devices, and the electroactive devices comprised of these media.

Date of Patent: September 29, 2009
    Assignee: Ciba Specialty Chemicals Corporation
Inventors: Mouhcine Kanouni, Simon Lord, Nancy Cliff
  • Publication number: 20070231502
Abstract: This invention is a method for incorporating additives into a polymeric materials such as coatings and plastics, which comprises treating the polymeric material with light prior to applying a removable coating of a composition comprising the additives to the surface of the polymeric material and allowing the coating to remain in contact with the polymeric material for a time sufficient to allow the additives to diffuse into the polymeric material.

  • Publication number: 20060068122
Abstract: This invention is a method for incorporating light stabilizers into a polymeric material such as coatings, paints and plastics, which comprises the steps of applying a coating of a composition comprising a light stabilizer on the polymeric material and allowing the coating to remain in contact with the polymeric material for a time sufficient to cause the light stabilizer to diffuse into the polymeric material. No active heating of the polymeric substrate is required. Ambient conditions encountered in natural outdoor weathering will suffice to allow diffusion of stabilizers. Other additives affecting the aging or performance of the polymeric material can also be incorporated by this method.
