    Abstract: An aircraft seat comprising a headrest having a headrest surface and a backrest having a backrest surface. The headrest is movable relative to the backrest surface between a first position in which the headrest surface is oriented at a first angle to the backrest surface, and a second position in which the headrest surface is oriented at a second angle to the backrest surface. The aircraft seat has a variable length gas strut, configured such that the headrest can be moved between the first position and second position by varying the length of the gas strut. The gas strut comprises an actuatable locking mechanism allowing the headrest to be held at any position between the first position and second position. Optionally, the gas strut locking mechanism may be actuated by one or more buttons, levers or switches.
