    Abstract: A cutting device for cutting tissue is particularly useful during endoscopic knee surgery. The device includes first and second co-operating jaw parts which are operable to close together to cut an object placed therebetween and a gripping member for gripping the object to be cut during an earlier part of the jaw closing action thus preventing tissue slippage during cutting. A method of using the cutting device is also disclosed.
