  • Patent number: 11900309
Abstract: A system for delivering items or packages to an unattended vehicle after receiving an order for delivery of an item or package to a vehicle is disclosed. The system determines identifying information for the vehicle, where the identifying information includes a wireless identifier of the vehicle. The system determines a delivery location of the vehicle. The system transmits a request to dispatch a delivery vehicle to deliver a package to the vehicle, wherein the request comprises the identifying information and the delivery location.

  • Publication number: 20230286541
Abstract: A system may attribute an event, which occurred during an operation of an AV, to one or more AV behavior changes through backtesting of the AV software version. The system may identify one or more critical events from events detected by the AV based on classifications of the events. A critical event may be an event that impairs a performance of the AV. The system, after identifying a critical event, may run backtesting of the AV software version. The system may simulate AV operations, which are controlled by the AV software version and one or more historical software versions, in a virtual scene generated based on the critical event. The system may determine whether there is a regression in the AV software version based on AV performances in the simulated AV operations. The system may determine one or more AV behavior changes based on the regression.

  • Publication number: 20200090117
Abstract: Example delivery systems and methods are described. In one implementation, a method identifies multiple items for delivery to a vehicle and determines whether any of the items are temperature-sensitive. If any of the items are temperature-sensitive, the method determines whether the vehicle has a variable-temperature compartment to receive the temperature-sensitive items. If the vehicle has a variable-temperature compartment, the vehicle is notified of an estimated delivery time for the temperature-sensitive items.

  • Publication number: 20180211120
Abstract: A scenario is defined that including models of vehicles and a typical driving environment as well as a traffic light having a state (red, green, amber). A model of a subject vehicle is added to the scenario and camera location is defined on the subject vehicle. Perception of the scenario by a camera is simulated to obtain an image. The image is annotated with a location and state of the traffic light. Various annotated images may be generated for difference scenarios, including scenarios lacking a traffic light or having traffic lights that do not govern the subject vehicle. A machine learning model is then trained using the annotated images to identify the location and state of traffic lights that govern the subject vehicle.
