    Abstract: An electrical connector comprises a housing and a connector position assurance device. The housing has a locking lever locking the housing to a mating housing of a mating electrical connector. The connector position assurance device is fitted on the locking lever and is pivotable in relation to the housing from a delivery position to a locking position. The connector position assurance device, when in the locking position, prevents unlocking of the locking lever when the housing is connected to the mating housing.
