  • Publication number: 20160116175
Abstract: In one embodiment, there is provided a second ceiling air conditioning apparatus, comprising: an air conditioner configured to cool air to a desired temperature; one or more conduits configured to conduct the cool air from the air conditioner; and a second ceiling positioned immediately below a structural ceiling, the second ceiling being configured to receive the cool air from the one or more conduits, thereby cooling at least a portion of air below the second ceiling.

  • Patent number: 8606170
Abstract: A method and apparatus interactive, computer-based, automatically adaptable education. The apparatus includes a screen visible to one or more students in a classroom and capable of accessing a network; a central computer capable of accessing the network and capable of transmitting a lesson over the network; and at least one educational module capable of accessing the network, the at least one educational module being assigned to a student, the at least one educational module being capable of receiving from the assigned student and transmitting to the central computer a response by the assigned student to the lesson, the central computer being capable of receiving the response, the central computer being further capable, based on the response, of interactively and automatically selecting and transmitting over the network for viewing on the screen, a new lesson.

  • Patent number: 4712155
Abstract: A method and apparatus altering a region of plasma that lies above the earth's surface at altitudes (e.g. below 50 kilometer) where the collison rate of the electrons in the plasma is originally greater than the cyclotron frequency of the electrons. First, artificial magnetic lines of force are established from the earth's surface by positioning a loop of cable at the earth's surface. An electrical current of sufficient amperage is passed through the cable which inherently generates the artificial magnetic field from the center of the loop. The field strength B on the artificial lines in the region of plasma to be altered is sufficient to increase the cyclotron frequency of the electrons in the plasma so that it will exceed the rate of collosion of the electrons.
