Abstract: Provided herein is a sequential stopper positionable within a barrel of an injection device. The sequential stopper includes a membrane comprising a proximal face and a distal face and that separates a distal chamber and a proximal chamber of the barrel. The membrane includes a slit extending therethrough that selectively creates a fluid path through the membrane when a sufficient fluid pressure is exerted onto the proximal fac thereof, thereby transferring fluid from the proximal chamber to the distal chamber. A lateral wall is joined to the membrane that defines proximal and distal cavities and includes ribs that sealingly engage an inner surface of the barrel. The sequential stopper is formed as a symmetrical stopper where the proximal face and the distal face have a corresponding configuration and where the membrane is positioned intermediate between a distal end and a proximal end of the sequential stopper.

Abstract: Provided herein is a tub for holding one or more nests of medical components. The tub includes a bottom wall, a plurality of sidewalls extending upwardly from the bottom wall, and a top flange formed about a top edge of the plurality of sidewalls. Each sidewall is configured as a stepped wall including a lower wall portion and an upper wall portion, with a horizontal ledge formed between the lower wall portion and the upper wall portion that is in parallel with the bottom wall. The tub also includes one or more support members extending up from the bottom wall, with each of the one or more support members having a top surface that is vertically aligned with or vertically below the ledges of the plurality of sidewalls, so as to be positioned to support a bottommost nest of the one or more nests when placed within the tub.

Abstract: A holding device configured to support medical containers includes a supporting plate having a first surface, a second surface, a peripheral edge between the first surface and the second surface, and a plurality of openings through the supporting plate configured to receive the medical containers. The surfaces of the supporting plate include a peripheral lower portion extending inward from the peripheral edge; at least one upper portion enclosed by the peripheral lower portion; and at least one upwardly angled portion extending between the lower portion and the upper portion. The holding device further includes a plurality of chimneys protruding from the first surface and/or the second surface of the supporting plate at least partially enclosing the plurality of openings, such that the plurality of chimneys guide insertion of the medical containers into the plurality of openings.

The plurality of reinforcing ribs include a first end portion extending radially from a first chimney of the plurality of chimneys and a second end portion extending radially from an adjacent second chimney of the plurality of chimneys.
