  • Patent number: 10042395
Abstract: A method for fabricating a laminated composite work piece includes providing a first layer of carbon fiber. The first layer extends continuously across the entire area of the work piece. A second layer is placed adjacent to the first layer. The second layer includes a first fiber material extending across a first portion of the work piece, and a second fiber material extending across a second portion of the work piece. The work piece is cured and provides a case component of an information handling system.

  • Patent number: 9876268
Abstract: An IHS chassis houses a wireless communications device with an antenna. A IHS chassis wall includes aesthetic fiber layers that are free of a carbon fiber material and that provide both an inner and outer surface of the chassis wall. A plurality of composite fiber layers are located between the aesthetic fiber layers, with each composite fiber layer including a first fiber layer section with a carbon fiber material, and one or more second fiber layer sections that are free of a carbon fiber material and include a non-carbon fiber material that extends between the carbon fiber material in the first fiber layer section. The one or more second fiber layer sections align to provide one or more wireless transmission windows adjacent the antenna. The carbon fiber material and the non-carbon fiber material may have the same tow size to prevent the appearance of seams.

  • Publication number: 20050079497
Abstract: This disclosure includes an inventive method for nucleic acid array design, in which the array contains individual nucleic acid sequences or portions thereof, and in which the method comprises: (a) providing at least two discrete oligos per nucleic acid sequence or portions thereof; (b) printing the array with the oligos; and (c) using the array in genetic analysis. In a preferred embodiment, two or three oligos are advantageously provided per target nucleic acid sequence or portions thereof on the array. This disclosure further includes an inventive method for genetic analysis, in which the method comprises: (a) generating labeled nucleic acids from a sample nucleic acid population using probe matched target primers; (b) hybridizing the labeled nucleic acids to an array; and (c) analyzing the array.
