  • Publication number: 20220248944
Abstract: An endoscopic imaging device is disclosed. The device includes a body portion configured to be held in a user's hand and an endoscope portion configured to direct light onto a target. At least one excitation light source is configured to excite autofluorescence emissions of tissue cells and fluorescence emissions of induced porphyrins in tissue cells of the target. A white light source is configured to illuminate the surgical margin during white light imaging of the target. The device also includes an imaging sensor and a first optical filter configured to filter optical signals emitted by the target responsive to illumination with excitation light and permit passage of autofluorescence emissions of tissue cells and fluorescence emissions of the induced porphyrins in tissue cells to the imaging sensor.

Abstract: An imaging device includes a body having a first end portion configured to be held in a user's hand and a second end portion configured to direct light onto a surgical margin. The device includes at least one excitation light source configured to excite autofluorescence emissions of tissue cells and fluorescence emissions of induced porphyrins in tissue cells of the surgical margin. A white light source is configured to illuminate the surgical margin during white light imaging of the surgical margin. The device includes an imaging sensor, a first optical filter configured to permit passage of autofluorescence emissions of tissue cells and fluorescence emissions of the induced porphyrins in tissue cells to the imaging sensor, and a second optical filter configured to permit passage of white light emissions of tissues in the surgical margin to the imaging sensor. Systems and methods relate to imaging devices.

  • Publication number: 20220061671
Abstract: A portable, modular handheld imaging system is disclosed. The modular system comprises a first housing portion and a second housing portion. The first housing portion includes at least one excitation light source. A first filter is configured to detect and permit passage of selected optical signals responsive to illumination with the excitation light to a first image sensor. A second filter is configured to detect and permit passage of selected optical signals responsive to illumination of the target surface with white light to a second image sensor. The second housing portion is configured to releasably receive the first housing portion. The second housing portion includes a display and a processor configured to receive the detected fluorescent and white light optical signals and to output a representation of the target surface to the display based on the detected optical signals.

  • Publication number: 20210228300
Abstract: A drape for use with fluorescence-based imaging and white-light imaging includes a drape body. The drape body is configured to limit passage of electromagnetic radiation including light through the drape body to an interior imaging environment defined by the drape body such that electromagnetic radiation including ambient light within the interior imaging environment does not exceed a predetermined threshold. The drape also includes a connecting element permanently coupled to the drape body. The connecting element defines a hole in the drape body. The connecting element is configured to attach the drape to a portable, handheld imaging device.

  • Patent number: 10559157
Abstract: An automated vending machine for vending, accepting returns for, and restocking, vendible products. Vendible products are stored on moveable trays, resting on a shelving system, and are transported within the automated vending machine by a gantry system and dispensing unit. The shelving system and moveable trays can be adjusted to accommodate vendible products of varying shape, size, weight, and durability. The moveable trays are gravity fed forward into position for being coupled with the dispensing unit when selected. A supplementary storage area for restocking products and storing returned products is included.
