  • Patent number: 7513364
Abstract: A casing includes a base, a cover, and a locking unit. The base has a top opening. The cover is coupled pivotally to the base, and is pivotable relative to the base from an opened position to a closed position, where the cover covers the top opening of the base. The locking unit includes a locking mechanism for retaining selectively the cover in the closed position. The locking mechanism includes a locking protrusion formed on the cover, a receiving groove formed on the cover around the locking protrusion, and a handle that is coupled pivotally to the base. The handle is pivotable relative to the base from an unlocking position to a locking position, where the handle is received in the receiving groove and engages the locking protrusion when the cover is disposed at the closed position.

  • Patent number: 7304441
Abstract: A technique is described that facilitates sensing current through a load. A method according to the technique includes mounting a discharge lamp in a floating point configuration, sensing current through the discharge lamp, and controlling current through the discharge lamp to improve power conversion efficiency. A device constructed according to the technique may include two AC voltage sources that are out-of-phase with respect to one another. A current sense circuit may be coupled between the AC voltage sources. When a load is connected to nodes of the AC voltage sources, the current sense circuit may sense current between the nodes that is associated with, or perhaps approximates, current through the load.

  • Patent number: 7256648
Abstract: In one embodiment, the present invention includes a circuit comprising an amplifier having an input terminal, an output terminal, a positive supply voltage, and a negative supply voltage. The amplifier is configured to have a first gain. A variable feedback circuit is coupled between the input terminal and the output terminal. The difference between the voltage on the output terminal and input terminal is received by the variable feedback circuit, which changes the gain of the circuit and reduces distortion.
