  • Publication number: 20240174370
Abstract: A propulsion system fastened to one side of an aircraft and having a longitudinal axis and a mid-plane and having a nacelle with two inner cowls, two outer cowls, two lower structural elements and two upper structural elements, wherein each outer cowl is articulated on a pylon by hinges with axes parallel to the longitudinal axis. The two outer cowls are contiguous at a separation plane containing the longitudinal axis and making, with the mid-plane, an acute angle. The axes are asymmetrical with respect to the mid-plane.

  • Patent number: 11802524
Abstract: A turbofan with a sliding element, rotary blades that can rotate between stowed and deployed positions, and a maneuvering system which moves each blade when the sliding element moves and which includes, for each blade, a rotary main shaft, for each main shaft, a transmission lever rigidly secured to the main shaft, at least two connecting strips articulated to one another, wherein each connecting strip is associated with at least three main shafts, the transmission levers of which are articulated to the connecting strip, and a drive system which rotates the first connecting strip when the sliding element moves. The use of rotary blades on the sliding element and the simplified maneuvering system makes the assembly more lightweight compared to the use of conventional reverser doors.

  • Patent number: 11635042
Abstract: A turbofan with a nacelle having a slider that is movable between an advanced position and a retracted position to open a window between a duct and the outside, blades, each one being able to move in rotation between a stowed position and a deployed position, and a maneuvering system that moves each blade, a transmission arrangement that rotates the blades one after the other, a drive system that converts the translational movement of the slider into a rotational movement of a first blade and that has a ball screw system, an epicyclic gear train, and an assembly of arms and levers.

  • Patent number: 11473528
Abstract: A turbofan having a fixed structure, a fan, a fan casing surrounding the fan, an outer cowl disposed around the fan casing and mounted so as to be articulated on the fixed structure, and a deployment system that moves the outer cowl from a closed position to an open position. The deployment system has a guide rail fastened around the fan casing, a slider that is able to move along the guide rail and has a shoe. An activation system of the deployment system moves the slider and the shoe alternately in one direction or the other along the guide rail. One end of an arm of the deployment system is mounted to be articulated on the shoe and another end is mounted to be articulated on the outer cowl. Such a motorized deployment system makes it possible to save space and mass in the turbofan.

  • Patent number: 11359542
Abstract: An engine including a motor and a nacelle and a duct between the nacelle and the motor. The nacelle includes a fixed structure, a mobile assembly that is mobile between an advanced position and a retracted position to define a window between the duct and the outside, and a plurality of blades that are mobile in rotation between a stowed position and a deployed position, each one extending on either side of its axis of rotation with a first arm and a second arm. In the stowed position, the first arm is outside the duct and the second arm is inside the nacelle, and where, in the deployed position, the first arm is across the duct and the second arm projects out of the nacelle. With such blades, the flow of air is optimally directed towards the front without it being necessary to provide cascades.
