  • Publication number: 20210322686
Abstract: A manifold for a medicament delivery device configured to deliver discrete doses of medicament contained in a plurality of individual compartments spaced along a carrier strip and sealed by a sealing layer to form a medicament carrier, the manifold comprising: at least one opening mechanism comprising a release member arranged to engage between the carrier strip and the sealing layer of a medicament carrier so as to separate the sealing layer from the carrier strip and thereby open a compartment of the medicament carrier as it is advanced into an entrainment position; wherein the release member includes a surface configured to cover the opened compartment when in the entrainment position so as substantially to contain the medicament dose of said opened compartment.

  • Publication number: 20210316091
Abstract: A device for releasing discrete doses of medicament carried in a plurality of spaced-apart compartments on a medicament carrier, each compartment being arranged in a carrier strip and sealed by a sealing layer, the device comprising: a release mechanism arranged to engage between the carrier strip and the sealing layer so as to unseal at least a portion of the compartment and expose the medicament dose contained therein, wherein the release mechanism preferably covers said exposed compartment in place of the sealing layer.

  • Publication number: 20160199856
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide a variable flow nozzle assembly capable of flowing a fluid within a range of flow rates in response to a variable upstream pressure. A spray tip defines a chamber and a flow port in communication with the chamber. A pre-orifice defines a flow path in communication with the chamber and a metering portion along the flow path. A spool valve defines a spool rod portion positioned within the metering portion and configured to be moveable in response to an applied upstream fluid pressure between a minimum and a maximum flow position. A biasing mechanism biases the spool valve toward the minimum flow position. An opening between the metering and spool rod portions allows for fluid flow through the flow path to be greater when the spool valve is in the maximum flow position than when in the minimum flow position.

  • Patent number: 7980490
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide a nozzle body including a main body, a turret, a valve assembly, and a feed spigot. The feed spigot can be in fluid communication with a valve chamber via a first feed point and a second feed point. The use of multiple feed points between the feed spigot and the valve chamber can result in increased flow capacity.

  • Publication number: 20080083838
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide a spray head including a housing having a facetted front face with a plurality of intersecting surfaces. The spray head can include a nozzle in each one of the plurality of intersecting surfaces. The nozzle can be positioned within a first recess of the housing so that an outer end of the nozzle does not extend past an outer surface of the housing. The nozzle can generate and dispense a fog-like mist. The spray head can include a cover that substantially prevents an orifice of the nozzle from becoming blocked with debris. The cover can be installed within a second recess of the nozzle so that the cover is substantially flush with the outer surface of the housing.
