  • Patent number: 11593089
Abstract: A method and control unit for configuring an add-on interface of a vehicle are presented. The vehicle includes at least one vehicle internal system, at least one add-on system arranged in the vehicle after manufacture, and at least one internal communication unit. The method includes receiving information related to at least one node of the at least one add-on system. The method also includes creating, based on the received information, a definition of at least one signaling used by the at least one node, and also configuring, by using the definition of the at least one signaling used by the at least one node, an add-on interface. The add-on interface is arranged in the vehicle as an interface between the at least one vehicle internal system and the at least one add-on system.

  • Patent number: 11518396
Abstract: Disclosed are methods and control units for facilitating diagnosis for a vehicle. The invention comprises: receiving configuration information related to a configuration of an add-on interface from a vehicle external communication unit, the add-on interface being arranged in the vehicle as an interface between a vehicle internal system and the add-on system; configuring the add-on interface based on the configuration information; creating, based on the configuration information, at least one diagnostic identifier related to the add-on system; and providing diagnostic information corresponding to the at least one diagnostic identifier to the vehicle external communication unit, thereby facilitating diagnosis of the add-on system performed by at least one diagnosis tool associated with the external communication unit.

  • Publication number: 20200342691
Abstract: Provided is a system for transferring information to and/or from a vehicle comprising: at least one internal system; at least one add-on system arranged in the vehicle after the vehicle is manufactured; and at least one internal communication unit configured to communicate with at least one vehicle external communication unit. The method comprises: configuring an add-on interface of the vehicle by defining a relationship between a first information format used by the at least one internal communication unit and a second information format used by one or more of the at least one internal system and the at least one add-on system; converting, using the configured add-on interface, information between the first information format and the second information format; and transferring the information to and/or from the vehicle, using the at least one internal communication unit, the at least one vehicle external communication unit, and the first information format.

  • Publication number: 20150057901
Abstract: A method for controlling power take-off in a motor vehicle (100; 110): the vehicle having a driveline with a clutch configuration (237), automatic gearbox (240), throttle (270) to control engine (230) speed and a power take-off function (220), the method including the steps of: confirming whether operation of the power take-off function (220) is requested; whether the clutch configuration (237) in the driveline is open; and if the operation of the power take-off function (220) is requested and the clutch configuration (237) in the driveline is open, activating (s440) a power take-off mode, in which the clutch configuration (237) is kept in an open position, even if the speed of the engine (230) is changed via the throttle (270).
