  • Patent number: 12330176
Abstract: A biasing member for use in reciprocating dispenser pumps is contemplated. The member is made completely of polymeric materials and is suitable as a direct replacement for metallic coil springs. The biasing member includes spiral shape defined by inner and outer helix traces, with a series of perforations provided along one or both of those traces. These perforations, in conjunction with thinned channels, the size and shape of holes, and the size and shape of apertures, all cooperate to allow for a spring with sufficient resilience and greater spring force in comparison conventional, all-polymer biasing members.

  • Patent number: 12329637
Abstract: The present disclosure describes a replacement valve that can remove or lacerate the anterior mitral leaflet (or other portion of the heart) to reduce the obstruction of the left ventricular outflow tract (LVOT). The replacement valve can include integrated cutting features to lacerate a leaflet of a heart valve. For example, the cutting features can include blades or electrosurgical features that can cut the leaflets to reduce obstruction of the LVOT. As the cutting features are integrated components of the replacement valve, the laceration of the leaflet can follow implantation of the replacement valve and enables for clinical decisions to be made based on the degree of obstruction to the LVOT following the implantation procedure.

  • Patent number: 12335389
Abstract: A system and techniques are described herein for providing authentication. The technique includes registering user authentication data such as biometrics data with a communication device. The authentication data is linked to an account or service provider, and is used to verify the identity of the user when accessing the account. The communication device may obtain a public/private key pair, for which the public key may be stored on a secure remote server. When the user attempts to access the account or service provider, the user may provide the authentication data to authenticate the user to the communication device. Thereafter, the communication device may sign an authentication indicator using the private key and send the authentication indicator to the secure remote server. Upon verification of the signature using the public key, the secure remote server may grant access to the user, for example, by releasing a token.
