  • Patent number: 12509096
Abstract: A method for operating a motor vehicle. A map of corresponding event locations for one or more high load events is provided, wherein the one or more high load events have historically led to an above-average load on a vehicle component. A current position and/or route of the motor vehicle is determined. A high load event is identified from among the one or more high load events as likely to be relevant to the motor vehicle during the current operation. The identification of the high load event is based on the current position and/or route of the motor vehicle. The vehicle component is thermally preconditioned, via a corresponding automatic control of at least one device of the motor vehicle, before the motor vehicle has reached the corresponding event location of the identified high load event.

  • Patent number: 12466232
Abstract: An air-conditioning system for an electrified motor vehicle with an interior and a high-voltage accumulator, includes an air-conditioning installation and an electronic control unit. The air-conditioning installation air-conditions both the interior and the high-voltage accumulator. The control unit implements a preconditioning mode during charging of the parked vehicle before a journey begins in such a way that: (a) at least the length of the route and the outside temperature over the length of the route can be predicted, and (b) in that, depending on the prediction, the high-voltage accumulator can be used as: (i) a heat accumulator, when the predicted outside temperature over the length of the route is lower than the heating threshold target temperature required by the high-voltage accumulator, or (ii) a cold accumulator, when the predicted outside temperature over the length of the route is greater than the heating threshold target temperature required by the high-voltage accumulator.

  • Patent number: 12351071
Abstract: A method for temperature control of a traction battery includes predefining a target temperature which the traction battery should have at the end of a journey and upon arrival at a fast-charging station; predicting a temperature which the traction battery will have at the end of the journey and upon arrival at the fast-charging station; determining a temperature difference between the target temperature and the predicted temperature; predefining a temperature control specification for temperature control of the traction battery during the journey of the motor vehicle to the fast-charging station in accordance with the determined temperature difference, so that the target temperature prevails upon arrival at the fast-charging station; and controlling the temperature of the traction battery according to the predetermined temperature control specification during the journey of the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20240166087
Abstract: A heat management system includes an electronic control unit configured to determine at least one route section-related historical heating or cooling effect profile based on heat management-relevant data of a navigation system acquired for a predefined period, acquire, for the same predefined period, a route section-related historic temperature profile by sensor for each component, determine at least one route section-related predicted heating or cooling effect profile based on the heat management-relevant data of the navigation system, which are predictable for at least one predefined horizon, and ascertain a predicted temperature profile for each component on the basis of the historic heating or cooling effect profile, the historical temperature profile, and the predicted heating or cooling effect profile.

  • Publication number: 20220017073
Abstract: A parking assistance system for a motor vehicle includes a user interface for interaction with the user and a control unit. The control unit is configured to display various types of maneuver which can be selected on the user side in a maneuver type display. In addition, the control unit is configured to receive a selection of a maneuver type from the displayed maneuver types. In addition, the control unit is configured to display a set of available maneuver targets only for the selected maneuver type, which targets can be selected by the user via the user interface, on a maneuver target display of the user interface. The system then receives a selection of a maneuver target from the set of available maneuver targets for the selected maneuver type. The selected maneuver target is then parked with at least automated lateral guidance for the selected maneuver type.
