    Abstract: An apparatus for removing a defective label from a label support tape comprises a return member arranged between a first return roller and a second return roller. The return member comprises a contact portion having a first contact part and a second contact part. The first contact part is shaped as a portion of cylinder arranged eccentric with respect to the rotation axis of the return member and conformed so that when the return member is rotated to arrange a part of the portion of cylindrical surface in contact with the support tape, the labels remain on the support tape. The second contact part comprises two surfaces converging to form a cusp, conformed so that when the return member is activated in rotation to arrange the cusp in contact with the support tape, the non-compliant labels present on the support tape detach from the support tape.
