    Abstract: A mobile device and methods that support performing a warm swap of a battery of a mobile device are provided herein. A processor of the mobile device may initiate a warm swap procedure in response to receiving a request from a user operating the mobile device. The processor generate a first notification signal to indicate to the user to wait before removing the battery from the mobile device. In response to execution of the warm swap procedure, the processor generates a second notification signal to indicate to the user that the battery of the mobile device is safe to be warm swapped with a charged battery.
