Patent number: 7441478Abstract: A snap connection is provided between a push rod, e.g., of brakes, to an actuating element, e.g., a brake pedal. A fastening clip (2) is detachably fastened to the pedal. The push rod includes a spherical end (10) which can be held in an articulated manner by the fastening clip (2) for transmitting actuating forces. The interior of the fastening clip has two elastically deformable locking lips (4) acting as barbs, which fix the spherical end of the push rod (10) in the pedal (1) after the insertion of the push rod (10) into the fastening clip (2). The fastening clip (2) is preferably a plastic part with essentially closed sides, which are closed off on the pedal side by a front surface with an opening for the spherical end of the push rod. The opening has an insertion area (13) for inserting the spherical end of the push rod (10) and a removal area (14) for removing the push rod (9).Type: GrantFiled: July 5, 2005Date of Patent: October 28, 2008Assignee: ZF Boge Elastmetall GmbHInventors: Andree Burgstaler, Jan Dütz, Wolfgang Meyer, Simone Papke

Patent number: 7121779Abstract: A safety device for removing a bearing bolt (2), especially a pedal bolt in a motor vehicle, is provided with at least one first mounting part (3), which has at least one through hole for a bolt connection with at least one connecting piece (1), as well as at least one bearing bolt (2). The bearing bolt (2) extends through the through hole in order to connect the mounting part (3) and the connecting piece (1) with one another. The bearing bolt (2) removing structure has at least one pushing element (4), which compresses the bearing bolt (2) that is compressible in the direction of the axial axis of the bolt (2). The bolt (2) is compressed under the action of a force over at least one plane (6) that is oblique in relation to the bolt axis and moves the bearing bolt (2) out of the mounting part (3) in the compressed state in order to hereby open the mounting point.Type: GrantFiled: June 23, 2004Date of Patent: October 17, 2006Assignee: ZF Lemförder Metallwaren AGInventors: Andree Burgstaler, Jan Dütz, Simone Papke

Patent number: 7040191Abstract: A device is provided for adjusting a connecting piece (6) mounted rotatably by a mounting device (5). The connecting piece is particularly part of a pedal mechanism of a motor vehicle coupled with a transmission unit (7) for transmitting the movement of the connecting piece (6). An adjusting mechanism (4) is provided for adjusting the position of the connecting piece (6). A locking unit prevents the unintentional adjustment of the connecting piece (6). The mounting device (5) comprises a bearing shell (3) and a baseplate (1). The bearing shell (3) is movably connected to the baseplate (1) arranged stationarily at the vehicle. The bearing shell (3) can be moved along the baseplate (1) upon the loosening of the locking unit such that the position of the transmission unit (7) coupled with the connecting piece (6) remains unchanged during the adjustment of the connecting piece (6) mounted in the mounting device (5), so that the adjusting mechanism (4) is integrated within the mounting device (5).Type: GrantFiled: February 18, 2003Date of Patent: May 9, 2006Assignee: ZF Lemförder Metallwaren ABInventors: Andree Burgstaler, Jan Dütz, Simone Papke

Publication number: 20050241432Abstract: A pedal system (1) for a vehicle is provided, with at least one pedal (5), which is mounted pivotably at an adjusting mechanism (7), which has a drive unit (9) and by means of which the pedal (5) is adjustable for a person for adapting the distance. A pedal release device (23) is provided, which automatically releases the mounting of the at least one pedal (5) at the adjusting mechanism (7) in case of a collision-related displacement of the adjusting mechanism (7) in the direction of the interior space (22) of the vehicle.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 27, 2005Publication date: November 3, 2005Inventors: Andree Burgstaler, Jan Dutz, Wolfgang Meyer, Simone Papke

Publication number: 20050066764Abstract: A device is provided for setting a connecting piece (5) mounted pivotably by a mounting device (1), especially a pedal mechanism in a motor vehicle, with which a transmission unit (6) is coupled for transmitting the movement of the connecting piece (5). The setting device has an adjusting mechanism (7) for adjusting the position of the connecting piece (5), a locking unit (8), which prevents the unintended adjustment of the position of the connecting piece (5), and a compensating unit (10) for compensating the change in the distance between the transmission unit (6) and the connecting piece (5), which change is brought about by the adjustment of the position of the connecting piece (5).Type: ApplicationFiled: September 29, 2004Publication date: March 31, 2005Inventors: Andree Burgstaler, Jan Dutz, Simone Papke, Wolfgang Meyer

Publication number: 20040251662Abstract: A safety device for a motor vehicle has features for performing a safety function that can become necessary especially in an accident. The safety device has at least one mounting part (4) with at least one hole (11). Furthermore, at least one bolt (2) is present, which is coaxially inserted into the hole (11) to connect the mounting part (4) with a connecting piece (1). A device for removing a mounting element or the bolt (2), especially a pedal bolt of the motor vehicle or for releasing the connecting piece (1) from the mounting part (4) in the form a mechanism (8) can be activated in an accident. The mechanism (8) is accommodated in a housing (6) connected to the mounting part (4) and is connected with the bolt (2) in the axial extension of the bolt axis (12).Type: ApplicationFiled: July 28, 2004Publication date: December 16, 2004Inventors: Andree Burgstaler, Jan Dutz, Simone Papke

Publication number: 20040231452Abstract: A device for opening a mount, especially a pedal bolt mount of a motor vehicle, has at least one first mounting part, which has at least one through hole for a bolt connection with at least one connecting piece, as well as at least one mounting bolt, which extends coaxially through the through hole in order to connect the mounting part and the connecting piece with one another. A structure is provided for destroying the mounting bolt, which opens the mount and thus loosens the connecting piece in order to achieve a safety function, and moves the connecting piece in a guided manner in the direction of the floor of the vehicle. The structure for destroying the mounting bolt and for guiding in a directed manner is designed as at least one separating element supported via a support part.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 8, 2003Publication date: November 25, 2004Inventors: Andre Burgstaler, Jan Dutz, Simone Papke
