Abstract: A lock pin and an engagement member are provided to join articles. The lock pin includes a head portion, a neck portion and a base portion. The head portion is located above the second member and having a lower surface. The neck portion is connected at an upper end thereof to a lower surface of the head portion, wherein a width of the neck portion is smaller than a width of the lower surface of the head portion. The base portion is located in the first bore and connected to a lower end of the neck portion that is opposite to the upper end. The engaging member surrounds the neck portion and is sandwiched between the lower surface of the head portion and a surface of an article to which the lock pin is connected.

Abstract: A wafer container includes a pod, a door, a wafer cassette with a top wall, a baseplate, and a biasing member. The pod includes side wall(s), a closed end, and an open end. When closed by the door, the baseplate is located between the door and the wafer cassette and the biasing member is compressed between the wafer cassette and the closed end of the pod. A size adaption system for securing a wafer cassette within an internal space of a closed pod includes a baseplate and a biasing member. The baseplate includes at least one of a projection for coupling the baseplate and the wafer cassette and a notch for coupling the baseplate and the door. The biasing member to be disposed in compression between the wafer cassette and a closed end of the pod.

Abstract: A cassette hold down includes a frame, a first cassette contact extending in a vertical direction with respect to the frame, and a second cassette contact extending in the same vertical direction. The first and second cassette contacts are separated along a length direction of the frame. The cassette contacts can contact a wafer cassette on either side of a horizontal bar of the wafer cassette that interfaces with a channel provided on a door for a wafer container including the cassette and cassette hold down. The second cassette contact can be joined to the frame by a spring. Mounting features such as bosses can be included to connect the cassette hold down to the wafer container. Hard stops extending opposite the cassette contacts can be included to limit travel of the cassette contacts by mechanical interference with the wafer container.
