  • Patent number: 7300606
Abstract: The present invention provides a Pb free Ag paste composition for a PDP address electrode comprising a) 60 to 90% by weight of an Ag powder; b) 1 to 10% by weight of a Pb free inorganic binder; c) 0.001 to 1% by weight of an inorganic thickener; and d) 5 to 38% by weight of an alkali-soluble, negative photoresist composition for fine conductive powder dispersion. The Pb free Ag paste composition according to the invention i) is environment-friendly by using a Pb free inorganic binder, ii) is suitable for the fabrication of fine electrodes by using the prior electrode formation processes, iii) can apply the formed pattern to low temperature sintering processes of not higher than 600° C., iv) does not use a surfactant and stabilizer and has excellent printing, leveling and sintering performances by using an inorganic thickener and conductive Ag powder, and v) enables sintering to be carried out at a sintering target temperature without binder burning off zone.

  • Publication number: 20030044727
Abstract: Provided is a method for forming barrier ribs of a plasma display panel (PDP), in which the rear substrate is protected from camber and damage occurring in the pressing process, and the mold can be separated easily by manufacturing a soft mold using elastic silicon rubber and forming uniform barrier ribs in a press method using the soft mold. In addition, a method for manufacturing a transparent soft mold is suggested, and uniform barrier ribs are formed by pressing a photosensitive barrier rib paste with the transparent soft mold, exposing them to a particular light source to reduce contact surface between the mold and the paste and thus make the mold separated easily.

  • Publication number: 20030040245
Abstract: Provided is a plasma display panel (PDP) manufacturing technology, and more particularly, to a method for manufacturing an additive soft mold forming barrier ribs of a PDP and a method for forming barrier ribs of a PDP that can prevent camber and damage of a glass substrate, produce barrier ribs with uniform height, and make the soft mold separated easily. In this research, an additive soft mold is manufactured using an elastic rubber material, and barrier ribs of a PDP are formed by using the additive soft mold. In particular, the barrier rib paste can be filled by polishing the rear surface of the soft mold and forming an opening, using a squeezer instead of performing a pressing process. When a photopolymerizing photosensitive paste is used as a paste for forming barrier ribs, and it is exposed to UV light, the soft mold can be separated easily from the paste, because the polymer in the paste shrinks due to the polymerization reaction.
