    Abstract: The present invention provides a method for preparing a boron nitride thin film and the boron nitride thin film itself. The method primarily includes providing a precursor containing boron and nitrogen atoms to an energy control apparatus and forming an excited state of the precursor within this energy control apparatus. Finally, a material layer is formed on a substrate, where this material layer comprises boron nitride. The key feature of this method is the use of an energy control apparatus that includes a first electromagnetic wave source emitting electromagnetic waves within a specific wavelength range. The advantage of this method is that it can be operated at lower temperatures, reducing the risk of thermal damage to the substrate and also decreasing energy consumption. Additionally, the method includes several optional steps that can further enhance the formation of the boron nitride thin film.

An ECP apparatus for electrochemical deposition includes an electrochemical cell with an electrolyte bath for electrochemically depositing a metal on a substrate. A main cathode and an anode are disposed in the electrolyte bath to provide a main electrical field. A substrate holder assembly holds a semiconductor wafer connecting the cathode. An auxiliary cathode is disposed outside the electrochemical cell to provide an auxiliary electrical field such that a flux line density at the center region of the substrate holder assembly substantially equals that at the circumference of the substrate holder assembly.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatus to manage a plurality of investments are disclosed. The methods and apparatus enable an individual investor who is part of an investment group to perform individual transactions as well as group transactions. Each investment transaction made through the investment group is tracked at the transaction level for each investor. The system creates a sub-account within a main investment account for each investor. Each sub-account is associated with its own cost basis regardless of the number of members added or removed from the investment group. In this manner, new members are not buying into built-in gains. Because the present system tracks the transactions at the individual investor level, it can assemble the pieces to provide a report at any level.
