Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for pairing an electronic wallet for a consumer with a service provider. One exemplary method includes receiving, by a computing device, a request to pair the electronic wallet with the service provider where the electronic wallet is associated with an account and where the account is associated with a user, and requesting, by the computing device, consent from the user to pair the electronic wallet with the service provider. The method also includes generating, by the computing device, a pairing token for the wallet application and the service provider upon consent from the user, and storing the pairing token in association with the wallet application, whereby the service provider is permitted to use the pairing token in a subsequent network transaction involving an entity associated with the service provider and the wallet application, regardless of whether the wallet application is separately paired with the entity.
