  • Patent number: 10862896
Abstract: Surrogate locational determination may rely on a surrogate device to provide a locational fix. When a device lacks an accurate geo-location system, communication may be established with a nearby surrogate device. The surrogate device is queried for an accurate location, such as that determined by a global positioning system receiver. Because the surrogate device is geographically proximate, the location determined by the global positioning system receiver may serve as a proxy or substitute for the local fix of the device.

  • Patent number: 10168854
Abstract: A method, a system, and an information handling system dynamically provide individualized dynamic digital display correction for users of an electronic device. An information handling system detects a login of a first user profile that is associated with a first user. The information handling system then determines whether the first user profile has an associated first vision profile. In response to the first user profile having an associated first vision profile, a vision correction value associated with the first user is identified. A first change in image characteristics that may be applied to a graphical user interface (GUI) in order to achieve the vision correction value is calculated and applied to one or more content displayed on the GUI.

  • Patent number: 9973027
Abstract: An information handling system includes a wireless charging receiver, which in turn includes first and second surfaces, a receiver coil, and an isolation marker. The wireless charging receiver is coupled to a back side of the information handling system. The receiver coil is located within the wireless charging receiver and disposed between the first and second surfaces, and receives a magnetic flux field from a transmission coil of a wireless charging pad. The isolation marker is in physical communication with the first surface and aligned with the receiver coil. The isolation marker enables a user to align the receiver coil with the transmission coil of the charging pad, and isolates the magnetic flux field in the receiver coil and away from the user and other components of the information handling system.

  • Patent number: 9893447
Abstract: An information handling system may include a first member, a second member hingedly coupled to the first member via a hinge, a coaxial cable, and a grounding jacket. The coaxial cable may have a ground sheath and a signal wire internal to the ground sheath, wherein an axis of the signal wire is substantially parallel to a rotational axis of the hinge and wherein the coaxial cable comprises an exposed portion in which the ground sheath is exposed externally to the coaxial cable. The grounding jacket may be mechanically coupled to the first member and the second member, wherein the grounding jacket may be configured to mechanically support the coaxial cable and electrically couple to an electrically conductive portion of at least one of the first member and the second member and to the ground sheath at the exposed portion in order to create an electrically conductive path between the ground sheath and the electrically conductive portion via the grounding jacket.

  • Patent number: 9887555
Abstract: A mobile computing device includes a body having a front side and a back side, and an easel adapted to fit in a first position within an indentation formed in the back side. The easel is movable to a second position, and a wireless power receiver coil is disposed in the easel. A universal hinge connects the easel to the body.
