  • Patent number: 9469920
Abstract: The present invention relates to an electrospinning device. The electrospinning device may apply the force of a supersonic flow acting at a predetermined angle with respect to an electrostatic force on a fiber discharged from an electrospinning nozzle to cause shearing stress on the fiber, thereby providing fibers having a very small diameter and collecting fibers having a finer diameter. Also, the electrospinning device may collect finer and more uniform fibers by adjusting the relative positions of the electrospinning nozzle for discharging the fiber and a gas spray nozzle for spraying a gas.

  • Publication number: 20120090825
Abstract: A device including a micro component having an external surface and a permeable nanofiber covering on at least a portion of the external surface of the micro component. A cooled micro component system further includes a droplet spray system for spraying liquid droplets onto the nanofiber covering to cool the micro component. In an example method for cooling a micro component, droplet spray is directed onto a nanofiber covering that covers at least a portion of the micro component. The directing is controlled to permit efficient spreading and evaporation of liquid permeating the nanofiber covering. In example embodiments nanofibers of the permeable nanofiber covering are metalized to provide a rougher surface (e.g., a nano-textured metal layer).

  • Patent number: 6184429
Abstract: This invention relates to a catalyst composition capable of effecting selective oligomerisation of olefins contained in cracked refinery distillate streams, comprising of olefins, aromatics, paraffins and cycloparaffins. The catalyst composition gives very high conversion of olefins to poly olefins, which after distillation and stabilization by hydrogenation affords lubricating oil base stocks. The catalyst composition comprises of an aluminum halide and a transition metal alkoxide belonging to group IVB.

  • Patent number: 6096678
Abstract: A process for the preparation of an inert oxide supported metal halide organo aluminium compound catalyst. The catalyst is obtained by reacting an activated support having surface hydroxyl groups with aluminium chloride selected from aluminium chloride solution and aluminium chloride vapors. A solution of an aluminium alkyl is added to the reacted support. The solvent is removed and the reacted support is dried.

  • Patent number: 6015768
Abstract: A process for the preparation of heterogeneous zirconium based catalyst for polymerization of alpha-olefins to super high molecular weight poly (alpha-olefins). The process comprises in mixing zirconium alcholate or phenolate with anhydrous magnesium chloride in the presence of a solvent. The mixture is heated, then cooled and an organoaluminum compound is added. Optionally, an electron donor compound is added and heated to obtain a black slurry, which is cooled and then washed with a hydrocarbon diluent.
