  • Publication number: 20070053493
Abstract: The invention relates to a flat panel X-ray detector comprising an array of sensor elements (3, 4) for converting X-ray radiation into electrical signals, said sensor elements containing at least one semiconductor diode having at least one sidewall where leakage current can occur, if said detector is connected to a voltage supply. It is an object of the invention to reduce the leakage current. This object is achieved by providing at least one influencing electrode (2, 14) adapted for influencing electric fields at said sidewall (10) for reducing the leakage current.

  • Publication number: 20060124857
Abstract: A radiation detector comprises an electrode structure, a planarising layer being disposed over the electrode structure and a protective stack which covers the planarising layer. The planarising layer evens out substantial differences between levels of the electrode structure above the substrate on which the electrode structure is disposed. Consequently, cracks, weak spots and other defects in the protective stack are to a large extent avoided. Because the planarising layer covers essentially the entire electrode structure, practically all sources of defects, notably cracks, in the protective stack are avoided.

  • Patent number: 6359600
Abstract: A matrix display device comprises a matrix display (10) with picture elements (18) arranged in a number of display lines (R). A driving circuit (3) supplies picture signals (Ds) to the picture elements (18) dependent on a video signal (V) which comprises, in a field (Fp), a number of video lines which is lower than the number of display lines (R). A line period (Tl) is defined as the duration of one of the video lines. To display video information on all display lines (R) regularly, after a number of line periods (Tl), more than one display line (R) is selected within one line period (Tl) to write video information to more than one display line (R). Therefore, a timing circuit (21) receives video timing information (S) to determine consecutive and non-overlapping select periods (Tr), each select period (Tr) completely occurring within a line period (Tl). In at least one of the line periods (Tl), at least two select periods (Tr) occur.
