Abstract: The present disclosure provides electroporation cartridges for single use electroporation as well as electroporation cartridges for automated batch processing, electroporation instruments and systems and methods of electroporation using these devices and systems. In some embodiments, electroporation cartridges comprise an electroporation chamber defined by an elongate body, a first electrode at a proximal end and a second electrode at a distal end of a chamber. Electroporation systems of the disclosure include one or more components including a pulse generator, compartments for placing either flow-through or single use electroporation cartridges, components for storage of cells, cooling and pre-cooling mechanisms, removably insertable modular casings having compartments for holding and arranging electroporation system and reagent components, one or more pumps for moving sample through the system, and processors and controllers.

In response to the detent being subjected to a detent-releasing force, the detent may release the grasp from the extended position to a collapsed position. The grasp may be rotatable relative to the base by way of the hinge in the collapsed position.

Abstract: An electrical connector includes a generally box-shaped connector housing and a lever. The lever is pivotally connected to the connector housing and is operative to move from a first fixed position to a second fixed position. In the first fixed position, the lever is releasably connected to the connector housing to prevent the lever from moving towards the second fixed position. In the second fixed position, the lever is releasably connected to the connector housing to prevent the lever from moving towards the first fixed position. Upon releasing the lever from the first fixed position, the lever is operative to pivotally move from the first fixed position to the second fixed position. The electrical connector is adapted for matable connection with a workpiece connector.
