  • Publication number: 20030132220
Abstract: A direct probing temperature regulation and overheat protection system for immersion heater includes a bimetal device adapted to receive thermal energy that is stored in the probe type temperature sensor. The bimetal device opens an electrical contact when the temperature of the bimetal device is reached. The displacement of the bimetal device that drives the electrical contact is a function temperature of the bimetal device that is a function of the resultant heat energy stored in the probe type temperature sensor. The probe type temperature sensor is immersed vertically in the operation liquid that gains heat from the heating element of the immersion heater. In the normal operating condition the displacement of the bimetal device is a function of heat gain from the operation liquid heat loss to surrounding and heat gain from the heating element. In the boil dry operating condition, the displacement of the bimetal device is mainly a function of heat gain from the heating elements that increase rapidly.

  • Publication number: 20030133235
Abstract: A food texture control and protection system for electric motor powered blender includes a device adapted to receive a selection signal that is generated by input device. The device controls the speed of the blade according to a selected speed variation against time curve aiming at to provide variation in the food texture. The device controls the blender by phase controlling the power supply to the motor of the blender.

  • Patent number: 6247392
Abstract: A multi-pie maker of generally conventional form is provided with metallic liners that fit snugly against opposing heatable complex surfaces of platens. The liners are preformed into self supporting complimentary shapes that match and fit snugly against the complex heatable surfaces of the platens. The liners are readily removable for washing and cleaning, or replacement when necessary.

  • Patent number: 5860357
Abstract: A breadmaker having a container sealingly mounted to the top of a housing and an electric heating element is mounted to an outside surface. A paddle is mounted at the bottom of the container and driven in use by an electric motor. Because the container is sealed in place in the housing, no foodstuff can enter the housing. Because the heating of the container is direct, less heat is wasted. The paddle may be lifted at the end of the baking cycle to aid removal of the cooled bread loaf. A hinged lid that is partially opened by a spring biassed plunger at the end of each baking cycle allows for ventilation of the container.

  • Patent number: 5826495
Abstract: A single loaf breadmaker has a container sealingly mounted to the top of a housing and an electric heating element is mounted to an outside surface. A paddle is mounted at the bottom of the container and driven in use by an electric motor . Because the container is sealed in place in the housing and because the heating of the container is direct, no foodstuff can enter the housing and much less heat is wasted. Means are described for lifting the paddle at the end of backing to aid removal of each cooked bread loaf.

  • Patent number: 5699718
Abstract: An expresso coffee maker includes a steam outlet valve for supplying steam to froth milk for making cappuccino coffee. A valve member automatically closes off a tube when a water level in a water compartment falls below a low level. This closing off completes each expresso making cycle and ensures that sufficient water is retained, and sealed off, inside the compartment to sustain a supply of steam for frothing the milk.
