  • Patent number: 10422919
Abstract: The present specification discloses systems and methods for integrating manifest data for cargo and light vehicles with their X-ray images generated during scanning Manifest data is automatically imported into the system for each shipment, and helps the security personnel to quickly determine the contents of cargo. In case of a mismatch between cargo contents shown by manifest data and the X-ray images, the cargo may be withheld for further inspection. In one embodiment, the process of analyzing the X-ray image of the cargo in conjunction with the manifest data is automated.

  • Publication number: 20190268193
Abstract: A receiver for demodulating a pulse width modulated (“PWM”) signal, comprises: a voltage level shifter for shifting the PWM signal to predefined transistor voltage levels; a half-rate PWM decoder for receiving the shifted PWM signal; and a 2-bit-to-N-bit deserializer. The half-rate PWM decoder comprises a first decoder core, a second decoder core, a controller, and a sampler and retiming circuit. The first decoder core and the second decoder core are configured to decode alternating periods of the shifted PWM signal. The controller is coupled to the first decoder core, the second decoder core, the sampler and retiming circuit. The retiming circuit is configured to receive clock signals from the controller and to output half-rate even data from the first decoder core and half-rate odd data from the second decoder core. Outputs of the retiming circuit and an output of the controller are coupled to inputs of the deserializer.

  • Patent number: 10308649
Abstract: A composition and method for treating autoimmune disease includes administering an effective amount of an aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AhR) ligand. The AhR ligand includes 11-Cl-BBQ, 10-Cl-BBQ, an analog of 11-Cl-BBQ, or combination thereof. The AhR ligand is administered topically, orally, transdermally, intravenously, subcutaneously, or with a nanoparticle. The AhR ligand induces regulatory T cells (AhR-Tregs). AhR-Treg cells block the differentiation of cytotoxic T-lymphocytes (CTL). The AhR ligand activates AhR in CD4+ T cells to induce CD4+ AhR-Tregs that suppress the development of effector CTL, thereby suppressing the development of CTL that attack host cells in graft versus host disease (GVHD) or ?-cells in the pancreas in diabetes mellitus type 1 (T1DM). The AhR ligand can also suppress development of CTL independently of Foxp3+ regulatory T cell induction. The AhR ligand can therefore be used to treat autoimmune diseases characterized by an absence of functional Foxp3+ regulatory T cell.

  • Publication number: 20190107857
Abstract: A voltage regulator includes a first transistor including a first terminal to receive an input voltage and a second transistor including a first terminal coupled to a second terminal of the first transistor. A charge pump couples to the second transistor and to an output voltage node. An amplifier receives a feedback voltage derived from the output voltage and generates a control signal to gates of the transistors. Responsive to the input voltage being more than a threshold larger than the output voltage, the amplifier maintains the second transistor off and the first transistor on such that current flows through the first transistor to the output voltage node but not the second transistor. Responsive to the input voltage being less than the threshold amount, the amplifier operates the first transistor in a triode mode and turns on the second transistor to provide current to the charge pump.

  • Patent number: 10212031
Abstract: At a configuration discovery service, a unique service-side identifier is generated for a configuration item based on analysis of a data set obtained from a first data source. A determination is made that a second data set, which does not contain the service-side identifier and is obtained from a different data source, also includes information pertaining to the same configuration item. A coalesced configuration record for the configuration item is prepared. The coalesced configuration record is stored at a repository and used to respond to a programmatic query.

  • Publication number: 20190031541
Abstract: A method for reducing the amount of acrylamide in recovered water from a fryer stack. This invention provides a method to treat acrylamide in the waste water/process water. Organic compounds such as phenols, acrylamide and phenolic compounds can be oxidized in the presence of oxidizing compounds like hypo and Fenton reagent. Fenton reagent is a product of reaction of Iron Salts (like Ferrous Sulphate-FeSO4) and Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2). It generates OH* (radical) which has significantly more oxidation power compared to traditional oxidizing agents such as Chlorine . The fryer stack water is collected and treated using Fenton reagent such that the Acrylamide levels are reduced to less than 0.1 ppb in the recovered water.

  • Publication number: 20180349605
Abstract: In this disclosure, a number of ways that quantum information can be used to help make quantum classifiers more secure or private are disclosed. In particular embodiments, a form of robust principal component analysis is disclosed that can tolerate noise intentionally introduced to a quantum training set. Under some circumstances, this algorithm can provide an exponential speedup relative to other methods. Also disclosed is an example quantum approach for bagging and boosting that can use quantum superposition over the classifiers or splits of the training set to aggregate over many more models than would be possible classically. Further, example forms of k-means clustering are disclosed that can be used to prevent even a powerful adversary from even learning whether a participant even contributed data to the clustering algorithm.

Abstract: According to an example of the present disclosure, a system is disclosed. The system comprises at least one sensing unit and a robotics engine in communication with the at least one sensing unit. The at least one sensing unit detects stock information associated with an item. The robotics engine performs a trend analysis based on the stock information collected over a predefined duration of time, and determines a threshold value based on the trend analysis. Furthermore, the robotics engine generates an alert when the stock information is below the threshold value, and selects a vendor based on one or more predefined parameters. The robotics engine also generates an instruction to obtain the replacement item from the selected vendor for replenishing the item in an inventory.
