  • Publication number: 20240154650
Abstract: Systems and methods for multi-beam Channel State Information (CSI) reporting are provided. In some embodiments, a method of operation of a second node connected to a first node in a wireless communication network for reporting multi-beam CSI includes reporting a rank indicator and a beam count indicator in a first transmission to the first node. The method also includes reporting a cophasing indicator in a second transmission to the first node. The cophasing indicator identifies a selected entry of a codebook of cophasing coefficients where the number of bits in the cophasing indicator is identified by at least one of the beam count indicator and the rank indicator. In this way, feedback for both a rank indicator and a beam count indicator may be possible which may allow robust feedback and variably sized cophasing and beam index indicators.

  • Patent number: 11929957
Abstract: Embodiments herein show a method performed by a user equipment for handling communication via a set of serving cells comprising a first serving cell and a second serving cell of a communication network. The user equipment receives a grant on a first serving cell, wherein the grant comprises a first identifier identifying Channel State Information Reference Signal (CSI-RS) resources of the first serving cell. Furthermore, the user equipment calculates a first CSI report for the first serving cell using the CSI-RS resources identified by the first identifier; and calculates a second CSI report for a second serving cell, using CSI-RS resources of the second serving cell identified by a second identifier, the second identifier being received previously in a grant on the second serving cell. The user equipment then transmits the first and second CSI reports to a network node serving the first serving cell.

  • Publication number: 20240064529
Abstract: A method performed by a wireless device. The wireless device obtains a first indication indicating that non-group based reporting is to be applied to any setting comprising the first indication.
