Abstract: A circuit for protecting an electronic control unit (ECU) from a high energy pulse is disclosed herein. The circuit includes an input node to receive a voltage from a vehicle associated with the ECU; a low power transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diode connected via first node to an input node and via a second node to the ECU, the first node being propagated voltage vie the input node, and a transistor connected, wherein a source of the transistor is connected to the first node and a drain of the transistor is connected to the second node.
