  • Publication number: 20140108949
Abstract: Certain aspects of an apparatus and method for providing a real-time, customized layout may include a host that is communicably coupled to a remote device. The host may be operable to communicate a customized layout stored at the host for display on the remote device. The customized layout may enable a user to control one or more functionalities of the host. Further, the host may receive a user input selected from the customized layout that may be communicated by the remote device. The user input may be decoded to generate an output signal that may control one or more functionalities of the host.

  • Publication number: 20130041790
Abstract: Systems and methods are for using a computer-based application session on one device and continuing the same session on one or more other devices without interruption of the session, according to certain embodiments of the invention. This occurs by a transferring or cloning of the application along with its state from one device to one or more others using a wired or wireless communication link or network. Embodiments further include the transfer of an application state to one or more other users by a transfer to their devices while continuing with the first user's session on his/her device.

  • Publication number: 20100115182
Abstract: An embodiment is a technique to improve operations of flash memory devices. A plurality of logical block numbers is mapped to a plurality of physical block numbers using a mapper. The physical block numbers are associated with blocks in a flash memory device. A plurality of block statuses of the plurality of free physical block numbers is stored in a replacement table. Each of the block statuses is one of a ready, dirty, and broken status. A destination block in the blocks is written to. The destination block has the ready status. The mapper and the replacement table are updated.

  • Publication number: 20100037241
Abstract: A method and apparatus for transparent data collection from a network for electronic program guide-like applications is provided. The method includes the detection of a file system command issued by an application program. Once detected, if the detected command requests broadcast object carousel data, the method collects the requested broadcast object carousel data from a network. Once collected, the broadcast object carousel data may be provided to the application program to provide transparent collection of broadcast object carousel data. To provide transparent collection of broadcast object carousel data, in one embodiment a client driver is installed under an operating system within an input/output (I/O) system layer. The client driver may be mounted in a mount point to register standard file system operation function calls for collecting broadcast object carousel program guide data. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
