Abstract: In some examples, an electronic device may provide haptic output associated with a gesture for performing a task using the electronic device. For instance, one or more sensors of the electronic device may detect movement of a touch input within an area of a display corresponding to an area of a graphical user interface. In response to detecting movement of the touch input, one or more haptic feedback components may generate haptic output associated with a task, such as an operating system task. In some implementations, the haptic output changes surface friction of an area of the display during movement of the touch input, providing feedback and guidance for the user to successfully complete the task.
