  • Patent number: 11893042
Abstract: A method is provided for resharding a sharded database sharded according to a first shard key. The method includes: receiving, by a processor an instruction to reshard the sharded database; receiving, at the processor, a new shard key to be used in a resharding process to reshard the sharded database; determining, by the processor, whether a duration of unavailability of the sharded database during the resharding process is less than a predetermined amount of time; and automatically performing, by the processor, the resharding process according to the new shard key to produce a resharded database, if the duration of unavailability is less than the predetermined amount of time. The method may be performed without users noticing a significant interruption to read/write operations from/to the database.

  • Publication number: 20230244783
Abstract: Systems and methods for generating, selecting, and implementing rule-based strategies are disclosed. An input data set representing a plurality of interactions that may be classified as malicious or non-malicious is received and at least one strategy tree including a plurality of rule-based strategies is generated. The at least one strategy trees is generated by a machine learning model configured to generate a tree structure. The rule-based strategies are ranked based on a precision-recall-stability (PRS) score generated for each of the rule-based strategies and at least a first rule-based strategy having a highest PRS score is extracted. One or more interactions are evaluated using the first rule-based strategy to determine when the one or more interactions are malicious.

  • Publication number: 20230020330
Abstract: According to aspects of the disclosure, there is provided a scalable cloud distributed database system for hosting data of multiple database tenants. In some embodiments, the database may be serverless. The serverless database may be configured to automatically and dynamically match resources to workload demands for tenants of the database. Databases described herein may include replica sets hosting multiple tenants. Tenants may be migrated from one replica set to another replica set based on usage. Usage of tenants may be throttled during migration between replica sets. Tenants with lower usage may be selected for migration between replica sets. During migration, files containing both a document and a history of updates to the document may be migrated. Databases described herein may include multiple storage tiers having different read and/or write speeds.

  • Patent number: 10578654
Abstract: A device for averaging a sensed current includes a sampling circuit that samples at least two sampling points of each cycle of a front-end alternating current (AC) sensed signal. The two sampling points is substantially symmetrical with respect to a midpoint of each respective cycle of the front-end AC sensed signal. The device also includes a timing circuit that controls a timing of the sampling circuit to sample the front-end AC sensed signal on the at least two sampling points based on a timing signal generated by the timing circuit. The device further includes an averaging circuit that averages the two sampling points for a given cycle of the front-end AC sensed signal to produce an average sensed current.

  • Patent number: 9864391
Abstract: A facility is connected to an electricity utility and is responsive to Demand Response Events. A plurality of devices is each individually connected to the electricity grid via an addressable switch connected to a secure network that is enabled to be individually switched off by a server. An occupant of a room in control of the plurality of devices provides via a Human Machine Interface on a tablet a preferred order of switching off the plurality of devices in case of a Demand Response Event. A configuration file based at least partially on the preferred order and on a severity of the Demand Response Events determines which devices which of the plurality devices will be switched off. The server accesses the configuration file and switches off the devices included in the configuration file.

  • Publication number: 20170003993
Abstract: A system for managing software application licenses includes a physical machine (10) including computer system hardware. A hypervisor operates on the physical machine. A plurality of application virtual machines (11a, 11b) are instantiated on the hypervisor. Each of the plurality of application virtual machines executes at least one licensed software application (12a, 12b) and a local license manager (13a, 13b) for managing a license file of the licensed software application. A master license manager (15) executes on the physical machine. The master license manager is configured to receive the license files (16) of the licensed software application from the local license managers of each of the plurality of application virtual machines.

  • Patent number: 9450408
Abstract: Adaptive demand response based on distributed load control may be provided. A demand response request indicative of a demand response event for an area may be received. A maximum power consumption for the area during the demand response event may be determined based on the demand response request. One or more set points for the area during the demand response event may be determined prior to the demand response event. The one or more set points are determined based on the maximum power consumption. Prior to or during the demand response event, a real-time power consumption for the area may be calculated. When the real-time power consumption exceeds the maximum power consumption, one or more loads in the area may be controlled to maintain the real-time power consumption at or below the maximum power consumption.

  • Patent number: 9232020
Abstract: Deployment of a plurality of services to a plurality of nodes in a communication network during fulfillment of a service request may be facilitated. A request for the services may be received from the service consumer via a first node of the plurality of nodes. The first node is associated with the service consumer. One or more second nodes of the plurality of nodes are identified in the communication network. Each of the one or more second nodes is associated with one or more service providers. It is determined whether the first node and the one or more second nodes are capable of providing the requested services. The provision of the requested services is assigned to the first node, one or more of the second nodes, or a combination thereof, based on the determination.
