  • Patent number: 11889494
Abstract: A radio network operates by: converting, in accordance with a communication standard, received fronthaul communications from a plurality of radio units (RUs) into backhaul communications transmitted to a communications network, wherein the plurality of radio units are configured to engage in wireless communications with a plurality of user equipment (UEs) via a radio channel of a radio network; converting, in accordance with the communication standard, received backhaul communications from the communications network into fronthaul communications transmitted to the plurality of RUs; providing a shared scheduler associated with a radio channel that is partitioned into a plurality of physical radio blocks (PRBs), wherein the plurality of PRBs are accessible by the plurality of UEs via the RUs; and generating, via the shared scheduler, an UE to PRB to RU allocation that associates ones of the plurality of PRBs to selected ones of the plurality of UEs and selected ones of the plurality of RUs, without a UE to RU p

  • Patent number: 11870527
Abstract: A radio access network operates by obtaining, at a scheduler, CSI corresponding to a plurality of RUs associated with a master DU and another plurality of RUs associated with at least one other DU, wherein the CSI associated with the another plurality of RUs is obtained via another scheduler or via the at least one other DU; allocating, based on the CSI, a resource allocation for resource blocks associated with the plurality of RUs and the another plurality of RUs; negotiating with the another scheduler to obtain PRB resources of RUs controlled by the another scheduler; generating, based on the CSI, precoders associated with the plurality of RUs and the another plurality of RUs; and facilitating, via the master DU and based on the precoders and the resource allocation, contemporaneous transmission to a user equipment UE via the plurality of RUs and the another plurality of RUs and contemporaneous reception from the user equipment UE via the plurality of RUs and the another plurality of RUs.

  • Patent number: 11502793
Abstract: A cooperative radio resource manager operates by: obtaining constraint data indicating a plurality of radio network constraints and channel state information (CSI) corresponding to wireless communications between a plurality of client devices and a plurality of remote radio heads; performing a first sub-problem optimization, subject to the plurality of radio network constraints, to generate an remote radio head (RRH) to client device association that associates a corresponding one of the plurality of remote radio heads to each of the plurality of client devices and further to generate a physical resource block (PRB) allocation that allocates PRBs of each RRH among the plurality of client devices.

  • Patent number: 8919021
Abstract: Applicant has disclosed a Method and Apparatus for stripping and feeding cartridges to enhance stripping cartridges out of a detachable double-stacked magazine, inserted into a (well opening of a) receiver of a bolt-action rifle, and to enhance feeding the cartridges into the firing chamber. In the preferred “apparatus” embodiment, Applicant's device comprises two protrusions (“bumps”) integral with, and radially spaced around, a bottom of the breech bolt head. When the rifle's breech bolt is pushed through the receiver, towards the firing chamber, a flat front face of a protrusion engages the rim of the top cartridge, pushing the cartridge out of the magazine, over the feed ramp or lip, and towards a firing chamber of the rifle. The protrusions alternate as to which engages the next top cartridge(s), due to the staggered (zigzag) columns of the cartridges in a double-stacked magazine.

  • Patent number: 8789302
Abstract: Applicant has disclosed a Magazine Guide Assembly with Dual Latching System for bolt-action rifles for guiding, latching and unlatching differently shaped firearm magazines for other rifles. In other words, the assembly is an adapter for bolt-action rifles. In the preferred embodiment, Applicant's invention comprises: (a) a magazine guide housing, attachable to a receiver of a bolt-action rifle, for guiding and latching differently shaped magazines designed for AR-10 and M-14 style semi-automatic rifles; (b) the magazine guide housing has different first and second latches, wherein: (i) the latches are respectively hinged on first and second pins, attached to the housing, and activated by a single torsion spring; and (ii) the first latch is adapted to latch onto a AR-10 style magazine designed for an AR-10 style semi-automatic rifle, while the second latch is adapted to latch onto a differently shaped M-14 style magazine designed for an M-14 style semi-automatic rifle.
