Abstract: A device for sensing loads comprises rigid first and second members having opposed surfaces and a sensor subjected to compressive loading between the opposed surfaces. The sensor comprises an electrically conductive thin layer of material in conductive engagement with spaced apart conductors so as to provide an electrical path between the conductors through the conductive layer. The surface of the conductive layer is of undulating form whereby the conductive engagement will vary with variation in loading on the sensor.
