  • Patent number: 10018333
Abstract: A lighting fixture includes a housing and a circuit board having a light emitting diode (LED). The circuit board is attached to a mounting bracket that is positioned inside the housing. The lighting fixture further includes a first reflector insert positioned adjacent to the circuit board on a first side of the circuit board. The first reflector insert is configured to reflect light from the LED. The lighting fixture also includes a second reflector insert positioned adjacent to the circuit board on a second side of the circuit board. The second reflector insert is configured to reflect the light from the LED. The first reflector insert and the second reflector insert are removable from the lighting fixture without removing the circuit board.

  • Patent number: 9052090
Abstract: A light fixture includes a housing that has a first end and a second end. The first end and the second end are opposite each other. The light fixture includes a circuit board that has a light emitting diode (LED). The circuit board is attached to a mounting bracket inside the housing. The light fixture further includes a first reflector insert positioned adjacent to the circuit board on a first side of the circuit board. The first reflector insert is configured to reflect light from the LED. The first reflector insert is removably attached to the first end of the housing and to the second end of the housing.

  • Patent number: 8602602
Abstract: An LED downlight provides a more evenly distributed light output. The LED downlight includes an LED light source, such as one or more LEDs, LED die packages, or LED chip on board modules, an upper reflector, a lower reflector disposed below the upper reflector, and a lens disposed between the upper reflector and the lower reflector. The lens includes several features that help disperse light emitted by the LED light source. The lens includes a diffusion element, such as a pigment, bulk scattering, prismatic, inlays, or another method for diffusing light through a lens. The lens is curved in a concave manner when viewed from the light source. The curve of the lens can be tangent to the physical cutoff of the lower reflector to more evenly distribute light emitted by the LED light source and to improve the visual effect of an evenly luminous lens.

  • Patent number: 8563898
Abstract: A light emitting diode (LED) lighting fixture has monitoring and control circuits that sense when a freezing condition is present that could result in ice and/or snow accumulation on a lens of the LED lighting fixture, thereby reducing the light output therefrom. Heat may be supplied to the lens from a transparent resistive coating thereon, an internal space heater and/or increased power dissipate from the LEDs.
