  • Patent number: 12043279
Abstract: A cloud service receives locations of priority vehicles (PVs) and non-priority vehicles in a metropolitan area. The cloud service accesses a database storing indicia of restricted road portions in the metropolitan area. The cloud service allocates restricted road portions from the database to the NPVs based on the locations of the PVs, the locations of the NPVs, and locations of the restricted road portions. The allocating includes preventing some of the restricted road portions in the database from being available to be allocated to the NPVs based on determining, according to the locations of the PVs and NPVs and according to pre-stored routes of the PVs, that estimated uses of the road portions by the NPVs would conflict with estimated uses of the road portions by the PVs as they travel along the pre-stored routes. Routes generated to include the respectively allocated road portions are provided to the NPVs.

  • Patent number: 12044748
Abstract: A battery system may include multiple battery cells grouped into modules. Each battery module may have a diffuser plate to direct the hot gases and molten material that are ejected during cell failure. The gas and material may be directed away from the nearest neighboring cells in the event of a single cell thermal runaway. Residual thermal energy is wicked away, absorbed or contained to keep heat away from the neighboring cells. These and other features may manage the blast energy and residual thermal energy of a single cell failure event. This may prevent a cascading failure of the larger battery system, thereby mitigating the risk of injury to personnel and property.

  • Patent number: 12047343
Abstract: Systems and methods for evaluating and displaying subject-specific compliance standard information are provided. A first message is received from a subject. An automated human interface module responsively engages with the subject through a communication channel. The module includes a node graph. Each node in a first subset of nodes is associated with a predetermined compliance question, or in a second subset of nodes is associated with a respective compliance standard. A message received responsive to the automated human interface module progresses the subject in the node graph, and this is process is repeated until the subject progresses to a node in the second subset. The subject, through this progression, satisfies a first requirement to receive a corresponding benefit of a compliance standard associated with the respective node. Responsive to this progression, a report is generated that includes an expected availability of the benefit corresponding to the progressed node.

  • Patent number: 12042671
Abstract: The disclosed calibration method includes a calibration phantom positioned on an adjustable table on the surface of a mechanical couch, with the phantom's centre at an estimated location for the iso-centre of a radio therapy treatment apparatus. The calibration phantom is then irradiated using the apparatus, and the relative location of the center of the calibration phantom and the iso-centre of the apparatus is determined by analyzing images of the irradiation of the calibration phantom. The calibration phantom is then repositioned by the mechanical couch applying an offset corresponding to the determined relative location of the centre of the calibration phantom and the iso-centre of the apparatus to the calibration phantom. Images of the relocated calibration phantom are obtained, to which the offset has been applied, and the obtained images are processed to set the co-ordinate system of a stereoscopic camera system relative to the iso-centre of the apparatus.
