  • Publication number: 20230055262
Abstract: An iron containing bioreactor for treating explosive compounds and other organics in contaminated surface water is disclosed. The bioreactor can be located either on-ground or in-ground at a location across which contaminated surface water flows. In one configuration the reactor is made up of (i) indigenous microbes, (ii) acetate, (iii) a low density iron-containing bed, and contains anaerobic zones in at least one portion of the flowpath. The reactor reduces the concentration of explosive compounds to below 10 ppb and also maintains this explosive compound reduction level for a period of at least one year without replenishing the microbes or iron.

  • Publication number: 20230056105
Abstract: An inventory of computer resources requiring backup data protection including an estimate of future growth of storage resources along with a set of data retention policies, rules, and outcomes in conformance with business requirements, is created. An architecture for initial ingest of protected data and a backup execution approach is created, based on the resource inventory, a sizing and assumptions of resources and data, and the set of data retention policies, rules, and outcomes. An initial ingest copies the protected data to the backup storage. The initial ingest architecture is transformed to a steady-state ingest phase, by incrementally adjusting the resources based on progress of the initial ingest. Responsive to completing the initial ingest of protected data, a steady-state backup ingest is performed. A validity of the sizing and assumptions of architecture resources is determined and an adjustment to the resources is performed based on the validity determination.

  • Publication number: 20230058048
Abstract: A system for increasing the rate of claim approval for specialty drugs is provided. The system monitors the approval and disapproval rates for claims related to specialty medications for multiple providers (e.g., pharmacies) due to missing or incomplete prior authorization requests. When the approval rate for a particular drug for a provider falls below a threshold value due to incomplete or missing prior authorization requests, the system provides the manufacturer of the drug with training on how to complete prior authorization requests for the drug. For example, the provider may be invited to an online course, or instructors may offer to visit the provider to provide additional training. The drug manufacturers may reimburse the claim processing system for identifying those providers who could benefit from the training.

  • Publication number: 20230058810
Abstract: A gaming system and method that provides an extra award feature in a gaming environment, wherein the extra award feature provides an easier way than known methods for providing non-linear adjustments to the average expected return for the player for a play of a game without changing or reconstructing the underlying components of the game or any related game. The extra award feature provides for these non-linear adjustments to the average expected return to the player that can be based in part on wager level increases by the player. The extra award feature can include a determination of whether to provide the player a first extra award, and in certain instances, a determination of whether to provide the player a second extra award based in part on an escrow pool.

  • Publication number: 20230054853
Abstract: In one aspect, a playback device is provided that is configured to identify a trigger event indicating a request to associate the playback device with another playback device. Based on identifying the trigger event, the playback device is configured to create a first sound code based on a first sound specimen detected by the playback device. After identifying the trigger event, the playback device is configured to receive from the other playback device a sound object and based on receiving the sound object, identify a second sound code. The playback device is also configured to, based on the first sound code and the second sound code, determine that it and the other playback device have a spatial relationship. Based on that determination, the playback device is configured to cause it and the other playback device to be associated in accordance with the indicated request.

  • Publication number: 20230059417
Abstract: The technology relates to providing an enhanced user experience for riders in autonomous vehicles. Two or more displays may be arranged at different locations within a vehicle to provide notifications, alerts and control options. Information may be dynamically and automatically switched between these displays, as well as a rider's own personal communication device(s). What information to present on each screen can depend on factors including how many riders are in the vehicle, their seating within the vehicle, how their attention is focused and/or display location and size. Certain information may be mirrored or otherwise duplicated among multiple screens while other information can be presented asymmetrically on different screens. Presented information may include a “monologue” from the vehicle explaining why a driving action is taken or not taken, alerts about important conditions, buttons to control certain functionality of the vehicle, or other information that may be of interest to the rider.

  • Publication number: 20230055367
Abstract: A multi-band antenna has a feed point, a grounding location, a first portion for low band operation, a second portion for low band operation, and one or more portions for high band operation. The ground reference of the feed point for the multi-band antenna is connected to a separate object that may provide a base for the multi-band antenna. The feed point of the multi-band antenna may be spaced above the base and have a space between the feed point and a location for the ground point. The low band portion has multiple resonances that are often odd multiples of the lowest resonant response. The portions that resonant most dominantly in the high band often have multiple resonances that are even multiples of the lowest high band resonance. The multi-band antenna has resonances spaced closely enough to appear to be a wide band antenna above the fundamental high band resonance.

  • Publication number: 20230054845
Abstract: An adjustable kettlebell system includes a base having a rod extending from the base. A selector is threaded onto the rod. The rod and selector extend through a plurality of weight supports. Each weight support is connected to an underlying weight support with a connector. As the selector is moved along the length of the rod by rotating the rod, the selector causes the connector to disengage with the underlying weight support. The adjustable kettlebell is then removed without the underlying weight support connected to the handle.
